so when my passenger door is open the interior lights dont come on...my switch is bad, need a new one, no big deal[hopefully
![]() [so this is probably a stupid question but here it is anyway] are they connected? or have both of them just coincidentally failed at the same time? maybe theyre wired in series? im hoping if i replace the passenger door switch it'll somehow link to the hatch and im done...yes? no? ![]() (drivers door still works fine) edit: also my seatbelt light is always on. its always been on and not worked but just went off one day. then i got it back from having my alarm installed and its now on again...is that an easy fix or do i have to take sh*t apart? if I were you, the first thing I'd check would be the fuses. find out which one controls your interior lights and check to see that it's still good

I have had sorta the same problems...
The Ground-trigger switch is currently shot on my passenger side, and I would check the hatch one. Just have to take out 1 panel to check it, the Door ones are a little more pain in the arse. DTE -------------------- I am a thief.
do not buy anything from me. |

the dome light fuse is fine
again: drivers door opens - all the interior lights come on as they should passenger door opens - no lights whatsoever hatch opens - no cabin lights, the trunk light works fine though theres power to the wire that goes to the passenger door switch, i assume i just need a new switch is the same thing wrong with the hatch? wheres the switch for that? help please ![]() -------------------- |

the pin switches are a lil dirty (ground trigger) usually you can take them out n clean the contact surfaces good with steel wool and put a little dielectric grease on them and theyll work fine most of the time otherwise you may need new ones which explains the drivers side working and hatch n passenger not cos the drivers side gets used alot more then the others and the repeditve use keeps contact surfaces clean

seatbelt plug may be undone, thats why your seatbelt light stays on. when we did my stereo we unplugd it and forgot to replug it so i drove with it on for 3 months until i got sick of it, and finally replugged it. under the drivers seat there should be a yellowy/whitish plastic connector. the other half shouldn't be too far away. replug them together. sometimes they install the brain of the alarm under the drivers seat (where it was on my first car) and it is possible they unplugged it. worth checkin out. dont have to take nothing apart.

they fixed it...had to run new wires though
when i told the guy about the lights not working when the hatch opened he was like "i used to have one of these and it didnt do that" so i told him "well, mine used to do that before i came here so..." and he ran a brand new wire to it for me ![]() -------------------- |
