So driving down the highway basicly lost all power, and gimped her home, did DG's Code and got this.

F P F F P P P F P F F

Check it about 10 times so I am pretty sure its right.

However no one around here has the codes and or a OBD1 Code reader for my car....

Can anyone find out this code?

that looks like a code 12.

you jumper TE1 and E1 on the diagnostic connector then read the flashes.

well you should test it before you just throw parts in. it could be bad wiring or a bad connection.

clear the code as described in my link, then jumper pins TE2 and E1 together and take it for a drive and see if the same code resets. if it does then you need to figure out what exactly the problem is. if its a bad sensor, a mechanical problem with the engine, or bad wiring.

95celgt had it right:
http://www.celicatech.com/imagearchive/bgb...odes%201.8L.pdf

I'd trust the BGBs over some generic code list.

12 ............... No "G", "G1", "G2" or "NE" Ignition Signal To ECM Within 2 Seconds After Engine Is Cranked,
.................... No "G" Ignition Signal To ECM For 3 Seconds With Engine Speed Of 600-4000 RPM
.................... Open In "G-" Circuit

Allright I reset the ECU many of times kept coming back, Its not knocking at all, but is running really poorly a 800rpm and sputters all the way threw the RPM range.

Where do I check the wiring?

Also If I have to replace my Knock Sensor, will the one of my 96 block work?

Allright sense I am waiting for paint to dry no joke.. I will write out the events of the night....

On the drive to Toyota Performance basicly lost all power and sputtering really bad. Zai (owner and head monkey, as his is prefered to be called) pulls out the all mighty all code reader for any Mofo car out there. So code 12... but the twist code 12 on ODB1 isnt knock sensor, its the crank sensor thats strangely enough located in the Distrobuter... Rip it apart.. metal shaving everywhere, clean it out, fire it up, running without sputtering, but still shooting 12. So I am now stuck with gettin a new distrobuter, and just to figure my luck the one off my 96 block wont fit.

So now the car is running decent, but parked in favor of the TT as the daily for now.

no, the 96 dis is different. you can pull one from a corolla/prizm fedspec 93-95 (early model year 95/late model year 94.)

if the plug wires are removable then it should be the correct one.
