The other day I was driving on the highway and my car just shut off for like 6 seconds then it went back on. I also noticed when I pressed my breaks the headlights would dim
So the next day it was no surprise, she wouldn’t start . I took my alternator in to get tested, it was fine. So I bought a new battery. the car runs now but I can’t figure out why the battery light is still on? ![]() This post has been edited by rockefeller: Jul 10, 2006 - 9:50 PM |

did you check the connections? the terminals might be corroded or there might be a problem in the wires
the same thing happened to me, the car would just shut off on me at unexpected moments. brought it to sears had the alternator checked got a new battery, the guy couldnt figure out what was wrong cause it would only start if we held the battery cables a certain way. my uncle finally just cleaned the battery terminals and its been fine ever since. -------------------- |
