Over thirteen months ago my car was destroyed by vandals. Over $7,000 of damage was inflicted and my car was totalled.

After months of hard work, I'm proud to present my restored Celica, complete with a new paint job. biggrin.gif

oh yeah, you should probably update your profile (especially the part about her being for sale)

coomer, your car has always been good-looking, but i think it's pretty much perfect now. shaved sides look great, and your choices for splitters, spoiler, and skirts were awesome. as for the paint, i think you could probably make some pretty good money making other people's cars look half as good!

cheers!

It's got quite the alarm system already. Six horns, five sirens, battery backup, dual sensors, all extremely well hidden. smile.gif

Not much. I painted my old '88 Celica flat black with John Deere paint and a gun and shot my Nissan Sentra SE-R with rattle cans. This was the first time shooting a gloss color, and it's not perfect, but most of the flaws are very minimal and are hard to notice. I definitely learned a lot, and I don't think I'll ever paint a car again because it's so much work! tongue.gif

How much did it set you back in time and money?

As far as time goes, it took me a long time...I don't know a number for you, but I worked on it bit by bit over the course of a few months. As far as money goes, I think I spent around $300 total on the whole project, not including the sideskirts, extensions, or wing. smile.gif

in short, very Nice car, and it should be up on the featured rides next, its got my vote, with the swap and now the body, etc.

Really great job Coomer. I'm glad to see another Coupe owner putting in some time/work/$ on their car. Great choices for the body parts. I really like how the TRD wing looks on your Coupe. Now keep the pics coming! I know thats another one of your great talents.

They're just my Exel TZ-10 wheels that I've had for years, with Kumho 215/45/17 tires wrapped around them. I really want some 16x7" Rota Slipstreams though.

where can i get those rear extensions from?

I got the front ones from chrisc, a member here, and I was really happy with them. contact him about them, I think they were like $180 shipped, or $340 for both front and back... or something like that. I think doGGy makes them too, so you could try contacting him too.

I regret selling it to that d-bag vaugnz. I had a bad feeling about him, and look where it got the car.

You can't expect someone who knows nothing about this place to feel the same way we do
about the yelli celi. To the common man it is just a cool car.
