i think lew has the best hp/$ suggestion. you're not going to see that large of a difference between the stock system, cai, and what lew suggested.

i'v done long CAI, and short ram intake,, and my best results came from the short ram intake, you have quicker response with it,,also you dont have to spend that much money to do it, dont waste your money on K&N, its to expensive. just to to some auto parts store and buy an intake tube and filter, and custom fit it, thats what i did. and you get even more HP when you run with no filter!!!lol. but thats not to smart to do, i only do that when im at the strip running it a few time, but you really notice a difference with no filter on a short ram intake, and it sounds awsome!

i'm thinking about doing this too. but how much noise does it add? and what's the pitch of the noise? i'm sorta self-concious, i don't want to sound like an indy car when i'm less than 150hp.

thanks, playr! the cai is about what i can do that will fit my limited auto skills. hoping to get a house w/ garage so i can look at doing the swap. i got a friend who just moved to n-va, been trying to get her on here since i found out she had a 6gc (and loves it and all).
