The screw in the green circle snapped off.... I just want to make sure that screw has NOTHING to do with holding the valve cover down...

Also, the plastic in the red circle broke. I want to know if anyone would know the part number for that piece of plastic?

i got that plastic piece if you want one (pretty sure its in tact)
but that bolt does hold down the cover i'm pretty sure...just get an extractor bit set and remove it...

It looks like that bolt only holds down that plastic piece.
Which happens to be part of the engine wiring harness.

It would be good if you remove the bolt, but it's not the end of the world if you don't.

That bolt holds nothing down. (valve cover related that is)

Actually that bolt DOES help hold down the valve cover.
Checked a Celica at work today.

I don't have that plastic piece either, it just holds that big alternator wire in place. I left the bolt in there just in case I find a plastic piece and want to put it back but I don't believe it does much, it'll be fine if you leave it off for a while
