kindasad.gif it's auto.

nice car nonetheless but if it was me I would wait for a good deal on a manual car.

what year is it ? you can get decent 7th gens for less than that, if you don't mind a 2000-2003 version ( which is better for tuning )

eh, i'm not gonna really mess w/ it this time. if anything, i'll lower it and MAYBE get an exhaust, but i just want a black 7th gen w/ the trd wing. and i looked in a kelly blue book and thats about the price its worth w/ all the stuff it has.

my car worth us$6500 with all it has ( kelly blue book says so )

would you pay that for it ?

always use the value given on the blue book as a guide of how much is too much for a car.

my co-workr sold his GTS 2003 with 40 K miles on it for 14000 with all the options so be patient and you'll find a nice deal or even get the same car for a lower price.

lol, well i'm not gonna be driving it like a maniac or anything. And to tell you the truth, the only reason i like that celica is the front bumper. that's the ONLY front bumper i like on it. all the other ones look gay. i'm gonna get rid of those rose colored tails too and put the tails with the amber on it.

A guy that I go to school with has a 7th gen GT. He bought it from the dealer used, and 2000 miles after buying it, the engine blew up. So the dealer put a new one in. 30K miles later, that one blew up. So the 3rd motor went in. Then going down the highway 5th gear decided it didn't want to hang out in the transmission, and shot itself all over I-5.

7th gen FTL thumbsdown.gif

your problems are just part of the basic maintanence of a car.

replace your shocks/struts checks your links and replace bushings about hte nosie IDK do you have 17" wheels ? or have someone to check your wheel bearing they are not that expensive to replace.

no, i just have 15" stock wheels, and its really bad cuz i have to turn my radio up really loud just to hear it over the noise and it hurts my ears lol.

think if i got some tiens i'd be good? cuz another problem i forgot to mention is that it bottoms out REALLY easily cuz of my springs.
BUSHINGS, that's what they're called, thanks. i replaced my links, but that didnt fix anything.

you have lowering springs ? if you have teins and they bottom out often your problem are the shocks/struts teins don't affect that much the ride quality.and the nosie is that loud I'd guess one or more of your wheel bearing is shot.

I have no experience with B+Gs so I don't know how their ride quality is.

You would avoid the 7th gen gt-s because: 1) if you drop it from 4th to 2nd in a drag race, you will bend the valves. 2) if you don't check your oil and it happens to be too low you will fry the motor.

uhhh, no ****? I thought that was pretty much universal in all cars. kindasad.gif

if it has to be be a 7th gen, it's best to go with the manual GTS. it's alot more fun to drive with. and sabrina... i think the closest to a 7th gen GT4 celica would probably be the FENSPORT 7th gen. awd + 3sgte smile.gif but like stevenson said.. at least not from factory

I've owned both a 95 ST and 00 GTS... And from personal experience, i loved my 00 GTS 6spd better then my 6th gen. I love the interior of the 6th, but powerwise a 2zz is a really good motor. It all depends on who you ask though. Most people will just say "just drop a 3sgte" which is true. But if your looking for a car just to buy and is quick already and GREAT on gas. I definately would recommend a 2000-2001 GTS 6 speed only.

You will get tired of that auto GT SOOO fast.

What's wrong with the 2002+ GTS? Bad quality?

2002 models had an ECU change where the fuel cut was moved from 8200 rpms to 7800 if I remember correctly. 2003 to 2006 or whenever they stopped... changed it back to how it was in 2000-2001.

That's not the car... that's just a stupid driver...

Performance-wise... 7th gen all the way. Good performance without any crazy swaps. Comfort-wise... I like the 6gc more. Looks... I like the 6gc more also... but the 7th gen isn't bad... least not the front. BUT... NEVER get the auto version.
