Well i guest its just not me, but i have seen the posts are not moving as well as they used too, sometime days go by and the most new posts i see is but less than 5.
Is the community not using the forums as before. Are we dying? Some posts seem to be left unanswered... Well im not complaining, but cheering, we need to keep up the posting and the helping. ![]() -------------------- Learned a lot in 10 years... I hardly log in anymore, last login Today Sept 6 2019, and I was forced just to clarify a post. LOL
If you PM me and I dont respond, dont fret or cry. Im alive, better post your questions in the thread below, maybe I log back in 2grfe Swapped... Why I chose the 2GR, before you ask read here... A great civilization is not conquered from without until it has destroyed itself from within. @llamaraxing in Instagram is the best way to find me. I hardly log here anymore. |

i think the problem (or not really) is that most of the major topics have been covered, so newbies have good info for starting out and older members have topics that help them..
so seems like most of the new posts now are "Hi" and "Check out my new mod" etc.. ![]() This post has been edited by Jaws4God: Oct 19, 2007 - 11:51 AM -------------------- ~Daniel~ No Longer Celica Owner.. moved on to a 03 WRX-EJ207

I think it also has to do with the fact that its Fall time and alot of people are bussier than in the summer and people are starting to put thier Celicas away for the winter. The car community seems to die down a lot durring fall/winter months.

I understand. Back then, even in fall time, this community was more active. But I tend to notice alot of people don't post as much anymore, esp the more experienced members in tuning 6th gen celicas. So the newer members that come in and ask for help, don't get the help they deserve from 6gc.net. Which is why I don't like leaving a topic unhelped, esp after 30+ people have "viewed" the topic and there is 0 "replies". That's just shameful. I'm sorry. Not shameful, but pathetic.

im on this site everyday n its my homepage. i look through the forums every morning to see if i can help people (even if its just pointing them in the rite direction) or see if there is anything to buy. im a noobie that came to the forums in august n i have learnd so much within just 3 months.
i have noticed not as much movement as well. even when i first joind there would be responses left and right, but now it takes a good day for threads to get support. -------------------- ![]() Pandelica 2.0 in progress. |

I blame it on Coomer leaving.
![]() No, I think it's just that the general stuff has been covered (for the most part) I think that most of the big builds for the year are done, and people are starting to focus on other things, like putting their car away for the winter, or family, or a "life"... I'm on here off and on all day M-F, rarely on the weekends, and I'm sure the only reason why it appears to have slowed down is because I'm on here so much that I catch everything coming in, so instead of logging in and find 20 new posts, I see them all one at a time. -------------------- 1991 MR2 - T-tops - Crimson Red - Gen3 3SGTE - Lots of money

Maybe it's becuase people are afraid to post because they are afraid of getting flamed for asking a "stupid" question. People really aren't getting the help they should be getting. If someone asks a question, they are automatically asked to read and then thrown a link to look at. Yeah I can understand that if the info is there, then don't make useless topics. But honestly, sometimes people need things explained to them first hand and be able to ask questions and interact. It's like taking a class. Yeah all the info is in a book ofcourse, but we still need an instructor there to help us out you know, if we have any questions. Basically my point is, people aren't posting as much as they were a few years ago becuase people aren't getting the same attention and support they we were giving a few years ago.
This site has been fun, and snapshotgt is right. People have lives outside of 6gc too. Hopefully. I'm actually having thought's about leaving the forum. Not selling my celica though, if I even mention selling the celica, I'll have a gang of members calling dibs on which parts of my car they are getting. -------------------- |

There's hardly any flaming at this board. Being asked to read the Stickies and taking a second to search isn't being flamed. Showing some initiative and not being lazy goes along way.

X2 members that have been here for a long time have an incredible amout of paitence compared to ther sites, the same questions get asked over and over. Not that they are not good questions they just get repeated a lot. -------------------- JDM guy made me do it.

Another thing, if I have a problem with let's say my headlight for example, seaching answers with the keyword(s) could be a bit complicated, since the topic title may not match our serch. Anyway, I don't have problems with repost in a forum, in the trouble/maintenance section, cuz somtimes, looking for answers can be long. I know I don't help as much as I request, but my english still needs to be polished, so reading and writing can lead everyone in a mischief!! Instead of giving wrong answers because I didin't understand well enough, I rather stay quiet! But I have a great respect for this community! And if I could help, be shure I will!

Troubleshooting is a different story. I don't see any problems with that because like you said it's difficult to search through hundreds of threads that may or may not match your symptoms.
But the whole, will a 3sgte fit in my car, what do I need to do to turbo my car, what body kits are there. Stuff like that gets answered so many times it's hard NOT to find a thread that'll answer them. As for veterans not being as active, life happens. Have to pass the torch(es) sometime. It gets boring answering the same questions over and over. This post has been edited by Supersprynt: Oct 26, 2007 - 10:08 AM -------------------- |
