Whats the best engine to swap with? Options

Whats the best engine to swap with? I kinda care about difficulty but I want more power...If its best to just keep the 7AFE,what are the best performance upgrades to put in to get the most power?

well probably 75% of the members will tell you to switch in the 3S-GTE. But there are many options.

1. 4A-GE
2. 5S-FE
3. Beams Engine
4. V6- only one or two have been done, but if $$ is no issue then go for it.
5. There are probably more engines you can swap, but time and $$$ are a major issue.

The only dream engine we can't have is the 2JZ. unless u have a ton of $$ and are willing to modify your car to extreme proportions.

As far as 7A-FE options go, there are no significant performance mods. Exhaust, header, and intake will only get you a couple HP. There aren't many internals made, not many other options, unless you want to go Turbo. If thats what you would like to do then look around. A ton of people have turbo'd the 7A.

I personally would love to see someone drop in a 350 small block, or some ridiculous muscle car motor. that'd be sick.

Unless the motor you swap uses the same motor mounts and wiring harness, then difficulty is gonna be there.

Just ask yourself how much money can I spend and do I have another car to drive while working on my celica. This should set your limits and go from there.

The number 1 best possible swap for power is the 3SGTE. It's extremely well documented and isn't too hard, albeit expensive.

The number 1 best possible swap for power AND simplicity is the 4AGE Blacktop. Don't even waste time with the silvertop, the power output isn't worth the cost. The Blacktop goes into the ST easily, I can wire it up plug and play for you, and it makes very nice power.
