does anyone have a clue if 225/50/17 tires will fit on my st.. my friend will let me get them for free but i dont want to unless they fit

It looks like you have 17's rims so yeah they'll fit.

i dont know much about tires and rims. i do have a 17" mounted with 215 45. will a 225 45 fit? does it have something to do with the offset?tnx

it can depending on your lowered height. Other than that, thats a pretty big tire.

I believe pressure2 is running 245/45/17 on his 1.5 dropped celi with no problems I also tried on some of my friends volks with the same tires with my 1.8 drop and I didn't have any problems at all yes they are meaty tires I agree but they're probably the best if you want the best ride quality you can get for our 6gc.

well i got them on but i had to take the skirts off. i will have to mod my aftermarket skirts when i get them but it looks fine without the skirts

Sorry for hijacking the thread, but I didn't want to start a new one on the same subject... I need to get tires for my new rims (17x7). My car is lowered on Tanabe DF210 springs.
Anyone know the absolutely biggest 17 inch tire I can fit with those springs without rubbing? I don't think I can do 235/45 but can I fit 225/45's? Help would be mucho appreciated! This post has been edited by Rider: May 12, 2008 - 1:19 AM |
