Do I still need to modify the spoiler to install it like the GT-four blocks (drill a 2 holes) or is it just bolt on? Thanks

I've read this thread but it doesnt say anything about the SS-III raiser blocks. I believe that the SS-III raiser blocks are kinda different in someway (kinda shorter) from the gt-4 blocks. Does the SS-III raiser blocks bolt on to the stock spoiler?tnx

The ss3 blocks are the same size and specs as the gt4 blocks. If you wanted a direct answer. You need to drill 2 holes on either side of your 2 post spoiler to mount the raiser blocks to the spoiler. No drilling is required to the hatch and the 2 holes used for your 2 post spoiler are a direct fit for the raiser blocks.

Hope that cleared up anything.

no mods really you either drill on the riser block side or cut off the pegs on the spoiler side. For mounting, you would drill the two holes on the indentation.

would their be anyway to shave down the heigth of the ss-III/gt-4 raiser blocks. I know there is the option of the euro style raiser blocks. But those are just flat.

the thing i like about the jdm raiser blocks is that they make the spoiler look slightley angled forward. but with euro raiser blocks it makes the spoiler taller but still give the spoiler a flat look.

then you should be looking for eurou raiser blocks. they're about half the height of the gt-four/ss-III blocks.

oops biggrin.gif

i have a spare set of oem blocks, i don't think they can be cut down. even if you did, it wouldn't be a simple cut-and-mold-back-together kind of job. the walls of the blocks are different from one another in terms of angle, length, and shape.
maybe you can cut the top part of the gt-four blocks and mold it to the eurou blocks?? i guess you'll need to see both sets to find out...

A month old thread but I thought I'd contribute....

Years ago doGGy made a some custom raiser blocks that were a little over half the height of the regular blocks. I had a set of them on my old Celica, and still have some pictures in my profile to give you an idea. Good luck finding those blocks though, he didn't make very many sets.

doGGy made them for a Group Buy back in '04 or '05. I do have some more pics of mine, and you might be able to find the group buy thread, there were some pretty good pictures in there. I thought he said he was going to stop making parts some time ago...you could PM him, other I doubt you'll be able to find any....unless someone else who bought them sells theirs. kindasad.gif

hey RoyO, can you take some pictures of the rear view mirror so that I can see how much of your view gets blocked from your customized raiser blocks. Also another pic from the driver seat looking back at the rear windshield plz.

^^ not what he was talking about, he wants the shorter blocks like the euros, but he wants them to be angled forward like the gt4 spoiler is on the cars
