making car look cool is always the goal, but making a car look like different version, is mainly embarresing.

325 beemers made to look M3, subies made look like WRX STI, celicas made to look like GT4.
And men dressing up as ladies. never cool.

The key is to build something you like, and really building is about making the car what you want it to look. But make it look like something never produced is awesome. Custom parts etc.

thats my thoughts, no offence to anyone riding gt4 pieces on stīs or gtīs.

I think people here are dressing up their cars as gt-4 out of desperation. Unlike rest of the world usa was not blessed with a gt-4 nor a half way decent version of a powerful celica. That being said, however ... those that do choose to decorate their 4 cylinder bundle of joy as a gt-4 often do not get the same effect as people with custom bumpers, spoilers etc. When one looks at a gt4 he or she (unless is a member of 6gc community) will never know that car in front of them is customized. Kind of like putting $25000 dollar bumpers on Mercedes benz. Most people would never know that they are looking at (insert super expensive name brand).

But then of course everyone has a different taste.

I don't think people are putting on GTfour front ends on their car to pretend to be a GTfour, it has more to do with the fact that it just looks good, and it's an OEM part, so it will directly bolt on without much modification, unlike most aftermarket body kits. Just like how I have Curren tail lights on my car, simply because I feel that they look better, and not because I want my car to be a Curren.

I would recommend that you just get a hood that fits with your bumper since you like your body kit so much.

PS: And sell me your hood smile.gif.

So I kept looking at your picture there.... I dont think your bumper is mounted properly. Your hood does not match up with your bumper AND it does not match up with the curves. Almost looks like your invader bumper is shorter on driver's side. Did someone do a boo boo there or did you buy the bumper like that?

Now to business. I think you need to cut your front bumper in half and move it to the left (right on picture) to line up with the curves and fiberglass the hell out of the middle. I would think that aside normal gap gt4 hood should not be that different so your headlight curves should always be lining up.

Also.. have you ever seen pickup trucks with that dark bug deflector thing on their hood? Adding something like that would let you keep this hood and your bumper.

I think it looks fine. I would get a little creative. Nothing that a good ole' bondo can't fix. Either do that or get a different hood. I wouldn't sweat it. The more I look at it the more I see that you just need a new bumper anyway. It is all miss-aligned you know.

omg i just noticed, instead of fixing the gap on the bumper and the hood, you should definetly fix the one between the fender and the headlamp, you can see right through it lol, sorry, but its a little funny...

Look here as well

the first link is not my work, I didn't have access to a GT4 bumper that I could make a mold out of, ( I did actually have access but was afraid of scratching the paint of it )

now I have access to one since is gonna get painted anyways, the owner doesn't mind is it gets little scratches during the mold making process,

right now my car looks like this with the hand made sccop

I will be re- doing this on a fresh bumper now using a exact mold of a GT4 bumper.

as long as you are in no rush, I have no problem making you a copy of the scoop.

pm me with an offer as I don't know how much to sell this for.

First, my intention posting those links was to encourage the OP to try this out himself and solve his gap issue, when I made my first prototype I had plans of making 5 only, and they were all gonna go to friends not posted for sale on 6gc, as anyone, I would be interested on making extra money, but honestly you have not offer something to get me thinking about doing this.

mine came out good, but I'm not good at preping / painting, so it doesn't look at its best. I'm gonna try it a second time, this time it will be better sicne i gain a lot of experience with the first one and know what to watch out for. and after molded in, I'll have the bumper profesionally painted.

If I was to ever sale this, it would be in the range of ~ 150 shipped, so saling them is out of the question, since that's what I think they worth and not what customers ( you guys ) think htey worth.

I advise you to go and try it, follow what I did, and if you have questions let me know. after you are done, you'll be proud of your work and will also understand why I think it worth such amount of money.

I would be pretty interested in a molded piece of this sort if you were to offer it. I was thinking that any price within the sub-$200 range is reasonable, though i know custom work takes a lot of time, patience, and hard work and is probably worth far more than that. I think 150 is a great price, especially shipped. I agree that anything less is not worth your time.

Your work is very good and I think this is a great option vs the gt4 bumper, looks and price wise.

If you do ever get around to making these, or if you will make one for me when I am ready for that price please let me know!!
