Paypal is retarded. Does anyone else have this problem i'm having? I can't send money as a gift. which means that whoever I'm sending money has to pay to receive it or I think I have to pay more. I have no idea. I got so frustrated with it that I called them and they told me that sending money as a gift is not an option yet for my country. How F#@#$% stupid! Plus I can't add funds to my account I can only pay using my credit card so guess what? I have to pay even more each time I use paypal. This is driving me up a wall. I took a screen shot of what I have....

FWIW, if you pay with a credit card, either you or the recipient always has to pay the fee. Only transferring directly from a bank account will allow you to avoid that.

you are quite right that's what is pissing me off I can't send money as a gift so that's one cost I have to absorb then on top of that I can't transfer from my bank account either so that leaves me locked to the option of paying with credit card only so that's another fee. they're killing me here frown.gif

Have you changed your bank account lately? Switched banks? Cancel any bank accounts? It sounds like your bank account isnt linked to your paypal. Can you try to re-link your bank account to your paypal? Otherwise try calling your bank.

no no no you don't understand I DO NOT live in the United States. most of the paypal options that you use everyday are not available to me simply because I'm from another country frown.gif
I can't link my bank account to my paypal unless I live in the US or another country that paypal supports that option.
Just to make things clearer this is what you see when logged into my paypal and you attempt to link your bank account. There is only United States banks available no way of changing it so i could link my local bank. have a look see...

Paypal WorldWide
https://www.paypal.com/cgi-bin/webscr?cmd=_...untries-outside

Any money transfer anywhere costs money. Sometimes as much as 15 percent per transaction. If paypal allowed free money transfers then how would they stay in business? I would imagine that vast majority of their income comes from fees that they charge for just about anything.

I have tons of options however as I tried there is no way how to avoid that paypal fee...

a) pay from tab "Purchase" means person who receive money is paying 4% of amount

b) pay from tab "Personal" means person who send money is paying 4% of amount...

That's all. No other difference noticed for me... frown.gif
