I'm afraid that you'll see cut from outside, because there's silver color inside. So doesn't it ´get black?

you have to connect the white/green wire(stop light) to the black/red wire(rear for) using a diod, do you also put a diod between relais and rear fog light

I would say dont do that. My buddies del -sol is the same design for his front lights, he tried that didnt work, then he got some wierd foggy look on it, we tried the oven, everything.. I havnt thought of it the way that they did it, but i think it would be the safist.

hehe, Neverstop, I like your mirror GIF. hehe, representing that you're a celica PIMP.

hey, Sthen, thanks to you, I'm met my goal and got rid of all the ugly orange lights on my car. I put the silver/red lights on my blinker though. I guess I'm in the clear/silver "club" as well now tongue.gif I did the cutting. but it was hard cause I guess I didn't cut the whole big enough. BUt it's all good, I pried it out with a screwdriver. Since the orange piece was made of plastic it's bendable. it's much like the front turning signals. WHy was the front turning signals in American like that but the rear, we had to buy these JDM ones?

It's awesome. I wanna work on the four stop lights. That looks tight. Pictures later as soon as it stops raining and I can wash my car.

yeah, I know. I did it long ago and put some xenon lights in it. I was just saying...that in the U.S. version of our car, they made the front signals like that, but the tails aren't and the JDM are. But oh well, I love my car much more now. No more orange at all. biggrin.gif

I know some GT4 riders from gtfour.ch like Steve from Switzerland, Marcus, Jörg, Dominic and Thomas from Germany. 2 reds, one blue, one silver.
From gtn I know Emma a bit...

Will you be at the gt4 meeting next year from gtfour.ch? Probably I'm there too.
We'll meet at Hockenheim, if you mean the Hockenheimring, because I live 4km from there biggrin.gif Or do you mean the Nürburgring?
Just write when you're there!

yeah it was hard. I took one of those wrenches that you can plug in screwdriver heads or whatever. Sorry, I dont know the names of the tools. And I put in there and unscrewed it. no way you can fit a screwdriver in there.

it should work, I guess. Try it out, it won't hurt anything. let the others on here know if it works. I'm sure someone would want to know.

wink.gif No problem. Bump. Lol. Just in case anyone else missed it. I'm going to try it if I could get the bolts off the back of the tails. Lol. They're stuck! I tightened them too much and ruined the thread.

Hi, could you clarify two things for me?
First, are two diods needed - one for wires and one for relay?
Second, what happens to the fog light when you do that mod? Do they work normally?

Some pics of the setup would be great!!!

QUOTE(Sthen @ Oct 25, 2004 - 2:49 AM)
you have to connect the white/green wire(stop light) to the black/red wire(rear for) using a diod, do you also put a diod between relais and rear fog light

No it doesn't! Red is perfectly legal for the rear turn signal lights. I'd suggest you look up your local state/city's ordinance though.

All of my bulbs were 7440/7443, not 1156/1157. You must have used the USDM bulbs and harness.

If that's the case I'd use these:

It's OK Dustin. Red is fine in your state:

I have an easy job, with lots of free time to prove dumb punks wrong. Don't say something unless you know it's true. Saying that your rear turn signals have to be amber is the dumbest sh!t I've heard. Look at all the other cars out there that only have red signals. Did they come from the factory illegal?

/yourself

JDM tails aren't approved by the DOT anyway.
