I was hanging out with my friends saturday night and one of them had a little spring powered BB gun. So we thought it would be fun to shoot random things in a parking lot. Then later that night I had to leave and go see some other friends. By the time I was done with them it was 3am and I was tired and decided to go home. I roll into my drive and my friends that I was hanging out with first called me and asked where I was, and I told them I just got home. So I was just about to get out of my car when I see a car pull behind me next to my drive way. So didn't move and I looked through me mirror and it was my friends but then I hear a sound as if they shot my car with the BB gun and then they spead away. I got of the car and looked and saw a dent where they shot. They hit my side a fer inches from my passenger JDM taillight. I was very heated and angry. This was my best friend that did it, whom I have known for 14 years and grew up with. He had no reason to do it. I couldn't believe that he actaully did that. So I decided to call him and yell at him, which made things ever worse. First he denied it and then when I told him I was sitting in the car he said he, he should have taken more shots to anger me even more. I flipped the f@#k out on him. And told him our friendshio was over. A few says later he apologized and said he was being stupid and said he would pay for repairs, but now I still can't trust him. Am I over reacting? Should we keep our friendship?

Yes your overreacting. Yes he did a stupid thing, but yes he also apologized and said he'd rectify it. This isnt about trust this is about stupidity, which happens. Dont can a good, long friendship over material items.

To Boss-Celica: It's not so easy... Try hard as you can, but belive me, you will never forget this...

To all Folks: maybe I'm "different" or "to much emotionalist" but tell me:

1. Why somebody do anything bad to a real friend?
2. What if nobody seen him to do that? Would he pay for repairs too?
3. Do you think that word "sorry" clean everything? How do you know he will not do that again? (not another material item thing... IMHO betrayal is much worst between friends than anything elese)

sorry for english, I hope you understand what I mean...

Maybe I am overreacting but I just couldn't believe my best friend would do that. I'm sure we'll still be friends, but to be the way it was before it might take some time to rebuild that trust.

1. Nobody is perfect. Say you and ur buddies are drinking and he passes out and its hilarious to write all over him. To you its funny, he's going to wake up pissed off, its not the same but everythings in perspective.

2. He called & apologized and said he would pay for it why even go into What ifs..."

3. Sorry doesnt clean anything but thats the word u say when you feel bad, its the first step. This isnt betrayal, you guys are taking this too far. Betrayal is when your best friend dates your ex-girlfriend behind your back.

Number one. THeres a huge difference between damaging a friend's property like that and writing on ur friend as a joke.

Number 2. A true friend wouldnt lie to u like that in front of ur face and then say a d*ck thing like that.

Number 3. Apologies dont necessarily fix everything.

similar thing happened to me.. i got off work and my friends called me up to hang out. it just so happens they were parked a few cars away in the parking lot and i pretended not to notice them as i went inside my dad's truck (i didn't have my celi at this time yet). my dad's truck had a fairly fresh new body work and paint job done to it. then i heard a few shots coming from their direction.. . i knew it was them cuz at the time we'd play airsoft at night at a nearby park.. but still, i got so angry and yelled at them. luckily there were no dents or chips in the paint (thank god).. we're still good friends til now but because of stupidity/peer pressure/attention, people do dumb things.

anyway, since your friend apologized and even offered to pay for the damages, i'm sure he won't do it again..
but in the case of your other friends..... i dunno.. (knocks on wood)

say fck it and get him back, i'll let u use my 50. cal Desert Eagle, it will make a slightly larger dent than the BB gun, lol. Anywho being serious I think that is messed up, people do make mistakes, but if you dont have enough common sense to NOT shoot your friends car, c'mon, with friends like that who needs enemies.

How old are you guys again? I'm guessing you're all pretty young. Five years from now, which will be sooner than you think, you'll be like hey remember that time you shot my car? People do stupid stuff when they're young. I was gonna smash out the taillights on my friends new Maxima with a bat once when I was younger and everyone was like WTF? I don't even remember why. Looking back that would have been really stupid.

Me and my friend are 19 so, it was a very imature thing to do. Thing that upset me the most was that he denied it (even though I was in the car) and that he knows how upsessed I am with my car. If he had shot something else that belonged to me I wouldn't be mad at all. But I have spent so much time and money on my car.

Youre not overreacting at all! First of all what is this guy doing shooting a gun (even if its a BB) outside in public? My bro was shot 5 times by one of his friends cuz the guy wanted to know what it felt like to shoot someone! You dont F with people and their property with a gun! He sounds like a nutcase. Id end the friendship as well!
