1) that backlight won't go off.
it shouldnt be on unless i press the "F" button and even then it should only stay on for like 10 sec.

2) it keeps flickering.
every 3 sec. it just shuts off for a split second then comes back on for 3 more seconds

3) the buttons dont do anything!
it won't unlock or lock the doors, nothing!

could it be the heat? its like 100 degrees outside but not in my room (where it is right now). if it is the heat will it go away? what the hell do i do?

OK my friend said that you can go into the menu on the alarm ( it should tell you how to in the manual, hit all the buttons at once..i think..) and there should be a way to turn off the backlight...if not he said like you did take out the battery and let it sit for a few minutes to reset...if not then i dunno kindasad.gif

so my alarm remote just randomly came back on by itself. so of course i called Dustin (Batman) as soon as that happened but mid-conversation the backlight came back on and the display started flickering again, a few mins later it went back to normal. confused.gif

as of right this minute its perfectly fine and im just constantly worrying about it randomly going out on me cwm13.gif i would still like to know what the hell is going on...im going to stop by the place that installed it and ask but i doubt they can do anything unless the problem resurfaces so i can show them. maybe it is the heat? who knows rolleyes.gif
