 vin number on the hood |

hey guys, I had a friend look at the hood of my car and he said that because there is no VIN number marking from the edges of the hood.... that it has been in a minor accident, and has been fixed up with after market material, so thats why there is no VIN number marking. I am very certain that this car was never in an accident of any sort. But there is the vin number markings on the door/trunk and so forth. Can anyone check one of their convts or coups and let me know if the vin number marking was suppose to appear the the front-edge of the hood? and if so, then where exactly.

THANK YOU VERY MUCH IN ADVANCE Its a one time use sticker, for example something may have fell on the hood dented it pretty bad and they replaced it. Not exactly a motor vehicle accident but still a viable reason for replacing a hood. Also the sticker itself may have been damaged or faded and then completely removed. Whats the paint on the hood like thats usually more of a tell tale sign like for example under the enforcements on the underside. |
