Hey guys. I was looking into buying a set of OEM Side Skirts that came on 'some' Celicas and I was browsing around and noticed something.

How come the SS-III Side Skirts look exactly like the OEM ones? $750 for a pair.

And then I was browsing ToyotaNation trying to look for the Headlight Projectors but stumbled upon this page! Isn't #16 "Rocker Molding" the OEM Sideskirts? If so, they cost way lesser.

And then I was browsing aftermarket parts earlier and stumbled upon this page! Isn't those the OEM Sideskirts? If so it costs lesser to have that set than any of those 2 up there... maybe becuz of fiberglass? Not sure but they are all the same to me.

Now I wonder why do all these look alike and costs so much different?

You know, SS-III skirts are OEM side skirts. So #16 "Rocker Molding" part here is the same part but with different profit margin (Everything from Toyota dealer is more expensive because many reasons... all parts prices are practically "shipped" prices..., It's "real" shop with own stock place, every dealer has own % profit margin added, etc.). Now about VFiber parts. It's aftermarket company so they must be cheaper (every genuine part is expensive, you pay for brand and guaranteed quality). I don't know if that skirt from VFiber is the same like genuine OEM sideskirt, but quality must be different...

no the second one is not the same. Use the search button and look under the buy sell forum for an OEM sideskirt group buy and you will see the different. Jay explains it in there.

The difference wouldn't matter cus they look very much the same. Besides, SS-III are considered OEM skirts because they are not aftermarket.

the oem skirts in the pic are not zephyr skirts... if you buy those zephyr skirts, they are not the same as the oem skirts. that image has been passed around, i'm surprised no one complained about this..

Toyota OEM genuine side skirts are just one... They has been used for: SS-I, SS-II, SS-III, GT-four and GT Celicas. Just that one kind of side skirt. And it's that one on my picture used here... So if Toyota world here sales genuine parts, it must be exactly that same sideskirt like mine from local dealer. If it's not, so... that part from Toyota world is not genuine one... It's some aftermarket part. Thats all...

Now question is: Has really Toyota world selling genuine parts or not?
