See thats what i was curious about, i heard there was a slight bend that was needed to be made in the lower portion of the down pipe and a mid section that would be needed to be fabricated... Other than that it should be fine... the one i bought came with all bolts and gaskets.. prolly worry about wrap after paint job

mostly 7AFE headers are made for Corollas and they need to be mofified to fit celicas, any shop can do it. it's not a big deal.

the price varies depending on the quality. you may get one very cheap ~ us$50.00 that is chrome. in other words is shiny. or you may get a real stainless steel 150-200.
right now I'm in develop of a real 7AFE header bolt-on version I have business with a header manufacturer. I asked them about the possibility of a celica version of the 7AFE header and all they need is a AutoCad version of the header, so with the assistence of someone from the site we'll be able to have a bolt-on header for the ST.

those who are getting the header from ebay just doble check with the seller if the header is Chrome or stainless steel. we know is a BIG diference on durability.

yup. you just need to get the flex pipe extended and have the 2nd 02 sensor flange welded on.

mine cost $100 shipped and is stainless, they all come out of the same factory in china which has some GREAT tig welders. i've seen $600 header with worse welds than my $100 one! the stainless is a little thin and only 300 series, but the flanges are thick and true (i check mine with a 12 inch machinists square).

the difference i noticed was a gain in top end with a very very slight loss in off the line torque.

4-2-1, its a generic make stamped with some random brand name which doesnt mean nothing.

just search ebay for stainless 7afe header and you'll find what i have. i forgot offhand the seller i bought from, but i got what i wanted.

Mostly the 7AFE Headers on eBay are for Corollas with 7AFE. The downpipe isn't made for our car so you have to custom weld it. You can take it to a muffler shop and they should be able to install it for you for like not even 50 bucks.

no, a little more than $50. materials plus atleast an hour of labor charges. probably closer to $150 for a shop to do it. i'd suggest that you take the measurements and buy a foot of stainless and have a welding shop tig in the extension peice then just install it yourself.

HUH!? No way! I got my whole cat-back redone with 2.25" piping plus a new performance exhaust welded with it for just $120.00!!! There is no way it would cost $150 just to cut and weld on the bottom part of the downpipe.

it all depends where you live i guess. here its $70 an hour for labor.

a regular shop is going to weld in mild steel with the wrong kind of welding wire and that area will rot out.

I guess so then... 2 years so far. Still looks like I just got it yesterday! No leaks either.

EDIT: But wait... I don't know if it's the mechanics too. I think a Muffler Repair shop is different from a Performance Shop. I got mine done at a performance shop. All they worked on was aftermarket and custom work.

Has anyone checked out these headers or know anything about them?

http://www.autoaccessorystore.com/home_n.a...amp;s=&mid=

4-2-1 stainless with no cat. About $300 shipped.

I'm picking up my 96 Celica GT-S either today or tomorrow (if the bank coughs up the dough) and I was doing some research into some mods. They seem kinda hard to find, either that or I'm not trying hard enough kindasad.gif

I checked ebay just now and there were 3 of these listed for around $250. The problem is, being in Canada, shipping is a real killer. The one seller wanted $225 shipping!

That autoaccessorystore.com listed the headers at around $390 shipped to Canada, not sure i'll find much better than that. I can't find a Canadian retailer that can get these.

lol. If you can find me someone that is selling it for $101.50 shipped to Canada (not Chicago like in Bitter's case) then hook me up, but I doubt that will happen. The cheapest shipping alone I have seen has been about $105 to Canada.

I want to buy a header that work good for a good price. Are these ebay headers safe or are they a piece of crap? I really want to buy one because I haven't done any performance mods in almost 2 years.
