3sge.....some of the early model produce good/decent power, are usually around 1.2k with shipping, and you can get them with the automatic transmission sometimes..... try jarcoinc.com, they might have one for sale, or maybe even ebay....anywho, good hunting bro ^_^

x2. or any v6. the newer ones only come in auto anyways. and a lot of people on here woudn't recommend turboing the 3sge.

people look down on it, because it would be easier to swap in a 3sgte rather than swap in a 3sge and turbo it later due to cost.....if your not looking for a turbo, then the 3sge, 4age, or even the 1mzfe , is the better way to go.....but if you want a turbo vehicle of around 2-550$ more than what you would pay for any of the engines mentioned eariler, then the already turbocharged 3sgte is the better way to go...but other than that, the only downside to turboing the 3sge, is that you would spend more to turbo it, than if you wouldve started with a 3sgte earlier..... wink.gif

that seems like it would be more work for you...i mean, you would also need an ecu to run the transmission on....still though, im trying to remember if there were any automatic 3sgte's that were produced..

That's "Caldina", and it comes with an AWD 6-speed automatic transmission. Although I've toyed with the idea, I really don't know if the ECU will run another auto, for example, a 4-speed 5SFE tranny, or not.

If you really want to stay auto but you want a turbo car, I would recommend putting your money into building the 5SFE you already have up and having a high-end turbo system designed and installed for it.

All you would need to do is adust the shifts to be firmer and put heavier clutch plates or bands in it. Wouldn't be that hard except finding the ports ot widen or the valves to change.

Are you positive this would handle the power of say a 3S-GTE engine , if done on the auto tranny that comes with the 5SFE ? how much would a job like this cost ?

Well you have to find clutch plates that fit and are heavier and info or a tranns guide to figure out the ports in the valve body of the trans to modify it. I don't know what it would cost but you could try talking to companies that make kits for the bigger popular trans and see what they say. I know the Chevy 700R4/ 4L60E are popular ones. Basicaly you can build an automatic that can handle the same power as a manual and it will be half the weight.

Trade it in for a auto GT. Then turbo eventually.

fast , cheap, reliable.
pick any 2.
there are no good swaps for the 6gc that retain the auto tranny.
at least none that are worth it.
like everyone else has already said. learn to drive stick.

Swap in a 4AGZE. its almost bolt up, boosted, and will work w/ your auto.
or turbo a 20V 4AGE, which is even better

and what ecu will you use to control the transmission?

If you only want 190 hp,

why not just turbo your stock engine?

no mess wiring.

less down time.

reverseable.

This is a beams 3sge motor , its is not a V6 ! it is a 4 cylinder .... if you have an ST , it will be harder to fit a S series engine in it , generally look for A series for easier swaps ... there is a couple of swap posts on this website that can help you with understanding engines and swaps and stuff .....

if all you want is less than 200 hp, just turbo your 7a. its much easier and cheaper than a swap, and you keep your auto tranny.

yea,iv been looking around and figure thats what i would do...i think if i can get 200hp out of a 2700 pound car that will be good since a 91 Turbo RX-7 makes 200hp and weighs around 2600-2700 pounds and its a mid 13 sec car...im not wanting to make my car a fast as hell goes out and beats EVOs and corvettes, just anuff to know u got some HP when u need it

ive been looking for kits, but all i see is the corolla turbo kits..will this work or is their alot to change?
