Awesome pics Art.
How do you like the camera so far?
Don't forget you can get an adapter tube and put a polarizer on.
It is 58 mm.

what do those do? i still have a lot to learn.

i absolutely LOVE this camera. the 12x zoom, the battery life, the picture quality ...everything is great. its a great starter camera without spending big bucks on a real dslr. probably the best bang for the buck in this type of price range.

Polarizer reduces glare from the object surface.
It will also increase contrast of the sky and make water surface clearer.
This is how you get a deep blue sky picture smile.gif
Here are some comparison pics.
They are uneditted.
BTW, you will need a "circular polarizer", NOT "linear polarizer".

Yeah, circular polarizers rock. I also forgot to mention earlier, that it's harder to shoot a black car than a yellow one. tongue.gif

Actually, that would be a Scorched Yellow Triumph Daytona 675. And I'm suprised lagos didn't take any pics of it, with it being the best looking bike there! BTW, was a tripod used for any of those shots?

Haha I'm just giving you crap because I will be buying one of those bikes when this year's riding season is over smile.gif

As far as the tripod goes, from what I've read, I think it could produce some decent results. Of course, it just isn't always practical to be carrying one around.

You don't really need a tripod for still object unless you are in bad lighting condition.
Combination of S3's image stabilizer + ISO setting + shutter speed setting should be more than enough.
But I do carry a tripod in my car smile.gif
