I'll shortly be putting a build page on my website

Looks alot like my int. which I guess is encouraging. OK alot cleaner. Did you get the heat/ac unit out with dash in? Do you need a sterring wheel tool to get it off?

hahahah you are a long ways behind that my friend. (its a LHD to RHD conversion)

the a/c unit boxes can be removed without taking out the dash.

its easier to get under the dash and unbolt the steering wheel column and drop it to remove the dash but the dash can come out over the steering wheel its just harder.

Because the only cars that are rhd in the us are the mail carriers and imported cars. Besides RHD is unique.

Well atleast thats my answer.

the price of a project is never the same and thusly depends on who you know.

The project for me was pretty darn cheap.
the point was of the swap is personal preferance and this car isn't a street car.

Haha,

Piro, i've NEVER owned an automatic......real men drive stick wink.gif

the shifting pattern is exactly the same and requires no changes to the shifter assembly just the e-brake is different (opposite side)

couple o updates (pics to follow later)

~removed the last rear quarter window (shattering is fun smile.gif )
~removed the windows out of the doors (shaved about ~15lbs, going to weight them for real measurement later)
~got some tubes of seam sealer and sealed 90% of the wire wall, only the engine bay top edge has to be done, which i need to get a hammer and pound straight.
~painted the engine subframe a nice BRIGHT color
~started sanding the dash support beam to get it ready to paint the nice same color smile.gif

he was referring to the prices from my company website (see first post)
though that page has been removed for certain reasons ect.

doing things to be different is cool, good luck its not an easy swap to say the least. Romas and I are pretty much the only ones who have done it on the 6th gen.

No updates just yet.
I've been busy modifying and rebuilding my GSXR 750 with custom pieces
and working on my turbo Jetta.
the celica might see some work this weekend if I have the time.

I'm going to pick up some steel wool to DE-rust my RHD dash core support. Then have it painted.
I'm looking into picking up Plexi to fabricate my rear side windows (but that might be a little ahead of planning)
I will also be cutting a replacement piece for the hole I had to cut in my floor pan :banghead:
EDIT: also I need to cut down my vertical hinges to reduce the excess weight from their original design.

hopefully all that gets done this weekend + finish the upgrades to my superbike :woot:
