Ive got alot of rust at the bottom of both doors, duno why alot of 6gcs' have rust only there. Instead of trying to fix it I wanted to get a new door but thats pretty expensive for both and we dont have any junkyards with 6gcs'. So what I wanted to know is , is it the "Door Skin" I need to cover the outside rust? Anyone know a cheap aftermarket company that makes them? thanks

I had the same problem with doors. My solution was letting guys from Toyota cut off bottom part of doors and create new one. Really create. I'll make some pics from inside and outside (I have still door panel out so you will see how much was re-created). They told me it's solution for about 10 years and only better (but a lot more expensive) one is buying brand new doors. There were used original Toyota material (the same as being used on factory) no cheap replacement.

I've seen other 6gc's with this rust spot, has anyone ever just cut that piece and welded on another piece of sheet metal and painted? Around how much would a bodyshop charge for that?
