Hey I know that modification is required for the brackets., however, does anybody know if height wise they will fit... meaning it wont rub on the headliner or be rubbing in the doors..

i have been looking at other options for seats. I know we can get new covers on, but the foam inside mine is crap...

I have also been looking at mr2, scions, and any other 2 door car with small lower cushion,

so far the best finds are scions. I missed the auction, i will be waiting to see if he puts it back....

You can use the lexus seats, they are tan and have electrical adjustments, side airbags, heating option, tiltable headrest and they are leathered too.

I wouldn't say they are. The tC is a tall car, more so than the 6th gen, and those seats go right up to the headliner in that car. Plus they are really heavy.

See that's the thing, no one has tried it yet, so no one really knows...I'd find someone w/ a TC or find some TC seats on craigslist or something and see if you can measure them to see if they'd fit in you're celi. You know the good thing about the vert is that you have a little more headroom as opposed to those w/ coupes/hatchbacks, so you could possibly make them work.

oooooooooo!!!

Before, when I had the celi I always wanted to swap in the RSX's seats....They are pure hotness, one of the best stock seats to ever come in a car biggrin.gif
but then the RSX was traded in for a jetta, and the celi was sold a few weeks after that frown.gif

How's this project going? I work with someone who has a tC, I can measure the height of his seats and tell ya if you need. (but not today because he drove his damn Explorer today)

Style that car like it was your own biggrin.gif

Seeing as you want to pioneer something new and exciting, you wont be able to ask anyone if they've done it; Yeah? So the best bet (IMHO) would be to measure the avalibility of room that you have. that way when you come across an option, you can just check the measurments. Alot of dealerships keep info like that on hand (for disabled people, or fat people tongue.gif . They gotta know that they'll fit before they come out there) That way you can plan and succeed in your plan to break ground on new seats biggrin.gif

Don't forget to do a wright up of how you did it so that everyone else can copy you put your hard work and ingenuity to use! biggrin.gif

i have found a good pair that if i buy i have to drive 600 miles to get it,,, ROAD TRIP.... im still debating. I think those seats are made for vert.

If you look at the bottom cushion, thye are very thin, much like ours. and the mr2 cockpit is comparable to our front area. so i guess im a go for this. If i am able to convice the seller. Ill be driving to kentucky....

heck, i drove to tenesse to get my car.... 500 miles...

You drove 500 miles to get the car, and 600 miles to sit in it laugh.gif

Sorry, i just find that insanely-hilarious.

honestly though, the seats in my vert look exactly like the seats in the hatches & coupes from what i've seen. (Granted i dont pull up to my buddies house and say "Hey dude, lets trade seats just for fun!!" laugh.gif ) but it LOOKS like they are the same...

I'll try to find you some part numbers...

thats a good outlook on the situation. thumbsup.gif

Remember sir, I too know the joys of the convertible biggrin.gif Although i do so miss having a hatch; for the simple reason of rich, overflowing, loud music. We just cant get sound to flow right in the converts... kindasad.gif

yeah, but my seats are going bad from the inside, the foam is crap. I cannot find real bucket seats that are worth it. these are close to what i want. But its not a done deal yet, they are in NC, so driving is required.

BTW, that is not a family car. Ill let you guys know if i decide getting them....
