Here's a few shots from our last minute, bored as hell mini shoot. I just wanted to post them, and yes, I still have yet to learn how to use photo shop, but I did what I could with what I can use.

Next time, I think we should opt for some females in the photos. I have a guy with a nice RX8 and also has a veilside RX7 who has some models he can depend on. I am planning on shooting him next. I need to get a job and get a better camera.... :-(

Oh yeah, and some dude kept passing by us in the parking lot, so I shot him! LOL

LOL You are crazy. Thanks for viewing the pics though man. I am not going to lie, I kinda like how they came out. Actually the guy with the Honda is our neighbor, and I am not sure if he is going to be in the crew or not, because he never wants to be out with other enthusiasts and such. He lives the life of a "whipped" man. *Tsk *tsk. Still one of my good friends though, regardless.

Well thanks. I dunno much about photography, but if filtered is a look I am thinking about, you shoulda seen my older photos. LOL horrible! I would like to think I am improving though, as this is all for experience.

nice shots !!

great to know that someone isn't buried under 3' of snow and ice and can actually get out and take pics of their rides . as for the "look" of your shots, it's called artistic licence and if the artist likes it enough to sign it and post it, then that's how they should look. keep experimenting with Photoshop. you can do some crazy 5H1T with that software!!

i am no better than the next guy at taking photos but if i may make a comment on the photos in general:

they are cropped too tight. you need to have the model occupy a space and not be so much "in your face".
if you want to be more artsy, move the horizon away from the centre of the frame. you did it in a few shots and they look much better.
these are things i try to think of when i'm out with my camera, but sometimes you just want to get the shot and don't have time to analyze these things.

could you post a "raw" version of one of the pics to compare. i'm always curious to see what the artist starts with.

r.

Actually, I only cropped around the photo which is why they have that black border. I took them like that to capture as much detail of the car without cutting it out of the picture unless it was necessary to even things out. I only have a Kodak Z712 IS, so there is only so much I can do with shots because the lens is nothing special. But if you still want to see the original photos, I can post them.

Hey thanks. They aren't as good as your photos, but I am trying to get there. LOL I am trying to make more friends and get other people to let me take photos of their car for experience. Hopefully I can get a better camera too. It is really a lot of fun. Those high res photos up yet? I am dying for them. I really love those photos in your thread. They are Flawless!

Consider yourselves hooked up! >>>> http://cgi.ebay.com/TOYOTA-Fleece-Jacket-2...93%3A1|294%3A50

They make a lot of cool jackets for many car makes. However, I warn you now. This exact jacket I have, the bottom border is not black, it is actually a very dark blue, and the cuff of the sleeves is the same exact dark blue. Why they didn't just make it black as well? I have no idea. Oh yeah, and also the middle zipper area. The zipper itself is red, but the surrounding fabric that supports it is also that dark blue color. It isn't that noticeable, but I emailed them and asked them to correct it. IT was funny, when they had the red one with the black sleeves, I told them they should have one all black with red on the inside, and then they said they only have that one. 1 month later, I had see they took my request into consideration. LOL

As you say the grass maybe greener, but i suppose its like you guys trying to get your hands on the ST205, we don't have eclipses here in the UK and Ireland but we can import them but they are looking way too much money for what they are, so don't think i'll ever own one. Should have bought one when i lived in the states to put me out of my misery, ah well.

WHAT?! You lived in the states? For how long? Where? Florida? I am guessing so since much UK guys have ended up there at one point in time. Either that, New York or California are only other casual possibilities. I was talking to some guys about life in the UK, I guess it isn't much different from here, regarding the economy in such fashion. *sigh*, I still would like to visit there some day, which is why I am trying to make as many friends as possible so I have people to visit and hopefully a rally event to one day get to see. Our rally is NOTHING like what you all have going on.

I hope you guys don't mind, but as I work with more photos from the shoot trying out things I have never did before, I am going to add them in here, ok? I want the experience and the constructive critique, just try to not be so biased upon what you prefer though, and more about what you see I am trying to do. Because I am more into cartoonish looking things and not so much REAL looking things I suppose is what I am trying to say. Thanks.

I lived in Lafayette Louisianna for 14months just before hurricane Katrina and before that I lived for 2months in Glen Ellyn Illnois. Your more than welcome to come to Ireland, were the best rallies happen, and just so happens we have more WRC cars in the world than any other country so you'll not be short with action.

Heck yeah! I love the scenery there as well. Not any time soon, but I shall betting getting to know you all a bit better and make some friends along the way before I head out there. I have never ever been outside my country (Canada or Mexico), and told myself if I were to ever venture out, the UK (no where specific as of yet, but Ireland sounds like a good idea) is the place to do it! I couldn't think of another place in the world, other than Canada, because I would like to see them as well, but couldn't think of anywhere else in the world I would like to go visit first than good ol UK.

Hey thanks. Yeah I guess I thought wrong. LOL :-( I have been busy with school for a social life, but truth be told, I am a terrible student. I do better without verbal instruction. I need a walk through with hands on. So I hate the instructional parts, but the hands on is excellent!

Good to see you are doing well, at least I will assume you are.
