My 96 celica has now had its heart torn out and shipped off to the local machine shop, Im hoping it comes back in one piece.
For now lets atleast dream.

If you want a detailed list of what going on, or perhaps some helpful advice for me! or maybe even you, check out my profile!

I'll try and keep you posted on a weekly bases, unforunately I have a tight schedule so this build may take me into christmas.
And ill put as much effort i can into explaining things! Especially converting a 3s-gte wiring harness

Port & Polished 99' GE head

Je Pistons, .040 Over, 8.5:1 comp

Where all the powers at, beautiful brand new GT3071R

Hks Adjustable cam gears

OCTOBER 15th 2009 Updates!!!!!

Block is back from lordco performance machine shop. Blue printed, balanced, shortblock assembly is done! Now its my turn

now realising black was a bad color.

how do the adjustable cam gears work?

was that a serious question?

they make advancing or retarding your timing much easier, insted of buying or reshaping cam teeth to the degree you want your adjusting the cam as a hole, advancing the timing to improve performance on an N/A engine, or exhaust retard to increase turbo spool on a boosted build (if im not mistaken)

complete head/wiring harness/sensors. some sort of intake manifold (5s bolts up different) im using a 3s mani.
alt was my choice because my old one couldn't product 11.5volt (should be above 14volt at 3,000 rpm) low output would only further piss me off when it comes to starting the damn thing.

Tranny has been swapped for E153. not worth my time/money to deal with s54 clutch to get the 5s running

engine is built to be beaten, it can handle a little more, not to mention keeping it below 3k rpm when any pressure on the petal is NOT an easy task

got a c-one authenic bumper locally, once its installed I will get u a front end pic! hopefully in the next hour

true it might be built to do that, but your doing a run in... that last part doent really make any sense.

Sorry if you think that I was calling you out. I didn't say you do not have what you say you have. It was just unusual to me that you took other people's photos, "photoshopped" them, and tried to pass them off as your own.

GL with your build dude, but i'd still like to see some pics of your own, 5sgte's dont happen too often. smile.gif

Looks like someone didn't want to notch the oil pan with a combo of stock main bolts and arp main studs. I wonder if the torque specs will mess with anything.

I found it on here >>> http://www.toyotanation.com/forum/showthread.php?p=1368439
but originally from here as well as other engine work such as your black painted block etc...
http://www.turbomr2.com/MR2/HowTo/Engine_U.../Images/Engine/

looks like someones MR2 build? Not trying to "stomp on your thread" just want to know whats going on?

right heres an update: found all the pictures he's used here>> pictures

In a nut shell this guy Dave owns a turbo'd MR2, has removed, rebuilt and installed his 3S-GTE and has documented it on this site.

I've sold my 1993 MR2 Turbo (July 2006), but I'm planning on leaving this site mostly intact for some time.
