Summer's coming up so that means, blowing money on our cars. wink.gif So, I wanna know what everyone's plan for their celi is over summer whether it's just filling up gas or paintjob or engine swap. let's hear it for some inspiration. smile.gif

as for me, my bedroom is full of parts that desparately need to be put on. I got my OEM sideskirts in primer that will be painted soon and put on. Then, I also got some TRD springs but I"m gonna wait until I get some new struts to put those in. Also have ATE slotted brake discs going on soon. as well as an ebay 4-2-1 header and I'll have the shop put on a magnaflow exhaust too. all in all, i'm gonna be one broke mutha. biggrin.gif

I'm going to take my Tractor and crush the hella out of the celi so that NO ONE can use any parts left on it and then recycle it. You wait and watch, I'll even make a video!

I need to get caught up on some maintenence stuff and fix some broke stuff before I get to the extras. I'm picking up a new radiator today and I have new wheel bearings sitting in my shop ready to go in. Might need a new half shaft for the passengers side too. Hope it's just the wheel bearing making the noise.

For extras: Need new speakers (all 8 of them are blown). Going to go over the paint on the entire car and fix all the little dings, dents and scratches. Soundproofing.

Starting to think about a V6 swap...

Probably going to just give it an insanely good detail since I've never done one...buff, clay, etc. The whole nine yards.

My wheels are getting paint soon. If I run into some money, I'm buying a replica OEM hatch visor and SS-III and TRD splitters.

Looking to get some cf splitters or lips for my car that I actually like... and finally get the driver fender replaced and painted. later this month is planned for custom air intake and cat delete 3" exhaust with greddy can. Other than that some TRD racing lugs in red and then back in storage for the winter months! God that was a short summer!

NO!

That was what made Luke's car unique, the front bumper and splitters and fogs. kindasad.gif

haven't done anything major on the celica for over a year so i plan on spoiling her this summer with:

Buying seat rails for the seats i have sitting in my room for almost a year
Buy, paint, and install EUROU front lip to finish exterior
buy cf to skin interior
install vincent's bling bling door sills i have sitting around for a while
Redo my gauge cluster back to white

if i have time and money left:
c-one front and rear strut towers
s/t front and rear sway bars

dream big guys, or else you won't get anything finished

This summer I'm just going to tackle my growing maintenance list.

Tires
Rear wheel bearings
Brake pads/rotors all around
Tie rod ends
Possibly new struts, or a Megan coilover setup
New front fender liner
Finish homemade intake

And sometime give the car an all over detail, pull a few dents, do a ton of touchup work then wetsand and buff out the whole thing. Maybe debadge while I've got the buffer out too. Don't have a lot of cash for mods, just stuff I can work in as "replacement parts."

Get my sideskirts sanded, filled, primed painted and installed. Along with the rear splitters. And hopefully get the ssIII fronts as well. Oh, and finally wire my fogs.

My summer plans are to completely turn this car around. A few of you have seen my newest Celica. At the end of this summer, I want people to see how far it's come. It won't be done or anything close to it, but progress will be made.

My goal is to make a tribute to mstoochn. I want to have his quotes all over my car. That and if there is room to spare... definitely castrolcelica's words of wisdom about keeping one's car forever.

On a more serious note. I dont know. Currently shopping around for other cars and driving this one into ground.

Putting the 2 post gt spoiler on the hatch.
Take the black euro splitters off and repaint them silver.
Paint the front window wipers black again because they have some small rust spots.
Putting new wheel bearing on the right front.
Change oil and filter, Gear oil, brake fluid and rear roll bar bushes.

jdm tails, riser blocks, SSI grill, DIY kick out my bad dent (too broke to afford real bodywork) , and maybe a DIY crappy paint job since I can't afford one lol. Maybe the turbo set up for the 7a with Smaay so he can start supplying kits for 6gc 7a's

I might be replacing it for good. But I've just found a RHD GT4 for sale I think it's at the same place Jim gets his engines from for $9k. Kinda interested, but if it's not that my mind is stuck with either a 350z, Audi TT, Saturn Sky Redline, G35, Supra or of course the IS300 I mentioned a while ago. If I upgrade it has to be rwd, or awd. Not rushing into anything though, I'll know what I when it pops up.
