There's an even bigger hose coming out the bottom and running back to the intake. Don't modify it. Subarus don't handle vta blow off valves very well.

I was debating getting a tmic for my celica once I turbo it come this winter. I have shannons old hood so it has an air vent on the top of it I'm just wondering if it will fit and it'll be efficient enough to allow me 10psi safely.

Yep, bypass valve. Take it from me, DO NOT get a vent-to-air blowoff valve. I had a TurboXS RFL valve on my WRX when I bought it and it make the car run like crap. Between shifts the car would be injecting fuel for air that was vented, so it would run rich. Switching back to the stock valve made it drive better and get better mileage.

I just want to try something different, I'm going to be getting a fmic but I really want to keep my fog lights in my car as I would have to take them out to run the intercooler piping im sure.

I think it would be nice to see a celica with a tmic.
Yes you would have to take out the fogs for the pipes.

you dont have to loose fogs for a fmic. see sig.
you dont want a top mount unless its a w2a, a2a top mounts are called "interwarmers" for a reason.

Couldn't you just recirc the BOV then?

Some of them are made so they can be recirc'd. My friend had a Greddy on his STi that was a recirc. My TurboXS was literally just the valve with a big horn on it, and it came with a cap to close up the recirc hose. I guess I should have said if you go with a BOV, get a recirc one. Most of the ones I've seen out there are just vents though.
