So, these past few months have been CRAZY busy for me, and I haven't had the time to devote to the calendar that I've devoted to it in the past two years. I'd still really like to do it this year though; it's something I really enjoy doing, and I love that you guys are into it and I love being able to provide it as a sort of "community service" to the board members.

So here's my thinking— because it's really quite late in the year for me to set it up as in the past, where I've collected contributions & posted a poll, I'm thinking that it would be pretty cool to be able to take the past COTMs and feature them in the 2011 calendar. Since COTM hasn't been running all year, I'm thinking I can supplement the missing months with some of the Featured Celicas from the home page, along with a few of the VERY VERY close runner-ups from last year's polling. There were a few shots that came in extremely close, and I think they deserve their spotlight too.

As for the cover shot, honestly, it's going to be a toss up for me. I'm leaning towards either using some very high res shots I've got from the meet I went to down in Southern Cali - some nice group shots - or, actually, just using my own car since you don't have to look at it all month anyway. Many (most) of you haven't seen the update on my car, but I assure you, it's quite worthy tongue.gif And of course, having a phat camera, I can shoot a good quality high res picture of it.

Alright - I want your feedback on this, people! The calendar is for YOU GUYS, so I want to know what you all think. I'm open to suggestions too; just keep in mind that realistically, these need to be printed in the next 2- 3 weeks, so time is of the essence.

Why don't you draft Ping in to do some of the PS work for you? She'd love to and she is very good at it.
Anywho I am down for 1-2

Alright, if there's a general consensus of support, I'm totally down for producing the calendar again this year. Death - If I need photoshop work, I'll definitely get a hold of her. But you know how I am about my babies... I get kinda... controlling.

So here's where I'm at - I can feasibly have the calendar printed and ready to ship early November. Between now and then, I'd like to try to both "sweeten the pot" and also gauge real interest - because I know how it can go where lots of people say "count me in" and then when I count them in, they're out.

So, between now and October 29th, I am willing to offer a special pre-order price for the calendars. I believe last year I was offering the calendars at $20 shipped domestic. For anyone who wishes to pre-order, I will sell them for $16 SHIPPED ANYWHERE IN THE US OR CANADA. If you're outside North America, contact me and we'll talk.

Please send payment to mjgriff1@gmail.com. YOU MUST INCLUDE YOUR SCREEN NAME, REAL NAME, AND SHIPPING ADDRESS in the info box. All payments will be verified by a confirmation email from me.

Great! I've been getting some great responses and a few pre-orders. The more pre-orders and feedback I get, the better of an idea I get as to how many need to be printed.

So with that, BUMP biggrin.gif

The shots I'll be using will largely be comprised of the Celica of the Month shots, except for those that aren't available at a large enough resolution to be suitably printed. Any supplemental shots being used will be shots that have been sent to me in the past 2 years by people who missed being in the calendar by a very close margin. There's quite a few, and honestly, some that from a professional standpoint, I think REALLY should have made it in! As for the cover shot, I haven't decided yet, but I'm kinda reserving the right to use a (quality) shot of my own car, since A) I'm makin' the thing, and B) no one will be subjected to stare at it for an entire month, should they object tongue.gif

As for print - I'll have the calendar completed by the end of next week and will send it out for print the following Monday, and expect to have it available for shipping on December 1st.

I'd REALLY like to get a better gauge of how many I should have printed! So in hopes of motivating some of you, I'm willing to extend the pre-order offer of $16 shipped anywhere in the US until I'm ready send the calendar out for print, on November 19th.

Any takers? PayPal to mjgriff1@gmail.com, please include your name, screen name, and shipping address!

I'm on my phone now & can't check but please email me directly so I have your email address you sent it from, & I'll check. Are you certain you sent it to mjgriff1 and not just mjgriff? It's becoming so common that I actually know who has my similar email address; he's an honest guy & will refund it to you if that's the case.

Status right now is that I pulled what I'd sent to the printer due to some late submissions. Since December COTM is posted, I figured at this point I might as well email him & see if I can't get a high res photo of the winning picture, so it can be included in the calendar.

The calendar itself will be extended through January 2012... sort of to "make up" for the lost time for Jan 2011. If I can get the December COTM pic this week, I expect to have the calendars back from the printer by or around January 7th, and of course will ship them IMMEDIATELY. All pre-paid calendars will be shipped Priority Mail.

Dimitar, no problem, of course that's your right. Email me and let me know for sure if that's what you'd like to do, and I'll take care of it.

If everything is as planned it already should be posted before more than a week and everyone should have it home... Since you do not have it there must be some troubles with printer (as usual). At least I already have calendar on the wall so do not hurry on this one at all smile.gif

Sorry, you guys. Most of you know me, & you know I'm straight up. Don't be worried.

I'm here; it's just been a very insane month, I'm sorry for not replying sooner. I will call the printer tomorrow & find out the status, & will update tomorrow afternoon (and will also reply to PMs)

Sorry, you guys. Most of you know me, & you know I'm straight up. Don't be worried.

yeah, you seem like your very well liked on here and seem trust worthy. (which is why, for once, im trying to give the benefit of the doubt (I got burned on 3si.org a few years back for $75)) glad to see that your still here biggrin.gif

I can look into my resources to see what the cost of a 13 month print would be. I have graphic designers that work within my company with their own printers, etc.

I'll see if they're willing to work something out for us.

I put a call in last Tuesday to see what the status of my job was & haven't heard back. At this point my only goal is to get the prepaid calendars printed, and I'm out. I love doing this but am myself frustrated by the problems for the second year in a row. Jeremy, email me if you want, I'll even supply you with the indesign files for a template for future calendars if you want.

I'm sorry these issues have continued for the second consecutive year. If Monday I don't have any answers, I will pull the job & get them printed elsewhere to fulfill the existing orders. My intent is to have them fulfilled by the end of the week.

Manny- I can get you a list if you'd like, I'm not trying to hide anything and am totally willing to cooperate here.

Dmitri - I'd PMed you back! I wasn't not aware my PM box was full (that's why I make sure people here have my personal email address, so I can always be contacted in case that happens). I'll email you directly right now. (Please reply so I know you've received it)

KAOS has been in touch with me and I've just responded to him to make arrangements to send the art files to him for printing. I will additionally be modifying the art to be a 16-month calendar, to try to "make up" for the delay with this project.

I will clear out my PM box right now. Anyone wishing to be refunded, please contact me and I will of course comply. I've been a member here for too long and have to this point been a pretty valuable member I'd like to think, and I definitely don't want things to go down negatively like this.

Hey guys - once I get all the info from Michelle, I should be able to get them printed off up here and sent out ASAP.

For those of you still wanting one (*especially a 16 month version) it will be possible.

My designers want to see an example of what we're looking for, but they're certain they can handle the task. I set up their workstations and printers, so I know we have the equipment to handle it... I just didn't want to intrude on their current work schedule.

I will keep everyone posted with info - as soon as I know, you'll know.

Thanks everyone!

Go easy on Michelle too, unforseen obstacles happen all the time. ($hit happens) We will get it sorted out.

Just woke up to the email notification about the bank declining the transfer. You're not the only person it happened to, it happened for one other transaction as well, for which I was emailed about yesterday and IMMEDIATELY actually FORWARDED the email to the person it affected to let him know what happened and that I'd call the bank to inquire about it today.

I had a past problem with PayPal and had to block them because they were making unauthorized charges to my account. The block was supposed to be a one time deal, but I'm guessing that's what the problem is here.

SO, since you have my email address as well, I would very much appreciate if in the future you could just email me directly about stuff like this instead of blowing it out to the world. Had you done so I'd have emailed you too just as I did the other person. It's not like I'm going to just initiate a refund that I know won't go through to "make it look good." I understand your frustration but sh*t, that's just pretty immature.

I have lost my job and am systematically issuing refunds weekly as I'm able to. I will reissue yours as soon as I get this cleared up with my bank and am able to use PayPal again, which I expect to be today. I have issued other refunds without any problem, so I'm not sure why this has happened with yours and one other now.

Just got off the phone with the bank, the problem was due to the block that I'd placed on my bank account; it was supposed to be a temporary block but they'd placed an "extended" block. The block has been removed and I will be able to make transactions tomorrow.

michelle, post the list TODAY.
who do you owe money to, and how much.
do not attempt to sell anything thru 6gc again.

you took advantage of these guys, took theyre money MONTHS ago...used it on whatever it was, and now dont have money to refund them?

thats total bullsh*t.
dont post appologies, or excuses, cause honestly, i dont wanna hear it, and im sure these guys dont either.

this makes me REALLY angry, cause i had a feeling you were gonna pull somthing like this when you originally posted this thread.

gave you the benefit of the doubt, cause people vouched for you. now i see that was the wrong thing to do.

I'm in the process of relocating & am not in Portland. I'll be back in town on Wednesday and will have access to my notes/records then, & will post up the info at that time. I'm not unwilling to be held accountable at all, and have been in touch with mostly everyone who's involved.

Thanks for putting the kibbosh on b/s comments, it's pretty much why I've been MIA from here.

Everyone needs to chill out. Is that $16, $22, even $90 going to break your bank and hurt you? No, I don't think so. Michelle will make good on everything, everyone needs to stop being so harsh. Why I know this? I loaned her approximately $300, and although it took a while to get back, she got it back to me. So everyone just chill out. I see some other names in this thread trying to reprimand her for being down, and don't forget, I've helped you before as well. If that minuscule amount of money is going to affect your life, you shouldn't have been spending such important money on a calendar in the first place. Although your individual money seems important to you right now, compile everyone and realize she has to shell ALL that money out on a tight budget.

Agree to the letter... I have paid also like $20 to her for calendar but who cares. I have lost much more than 20 bucks in my whole life... For full tank I pay $110 here! Who cares about 20... wink.gif. I know Michelle for a while and have no problem with her. That is why you do not find my "refund request" in here.

Anyway... that is just my point of view on my $20 in terms of Michelle smile.gif. I can understand you have different one.

Well D since all of us are not sucking mommys trust fund tit, a few bucks do matter. Since you are so willing to vouch for her, break out the the check book and pony up some dough to help out your friend. I have always liked Michelle but this is BS, if it were anyone else there would be ten threads bashing her.
Regardless of popularity, she has a responsablilty as a seller, just like anyone else.

We all know she's a good person. But there's a difference between loaning money and giving money in exchange for good. It's only $20? That's a lot in todays economy and especially those who have a low paying job. I just hope all this work out for all parties, and I hope it doesn't "take a while." I hate it when I see something like this happen. GL folks.

I have always liked Michelle but this is BS, if it were anyone else there would be ten threads bashing her.
Regardless of popularity, she has a responsablilty as a seller, just like anyone else.

Comments like this make me giggle. Thank you Randy. For those who know me though, realize I paid for my school, celica, and 350z. There is no trust fund baby here (unfortunately). Michelle is a great girl, and she will handle this. smile.gif

I guess I don't care if it is $20.00 or 20 cents, ripping people off is still ripping people off. Some how you are turning this around
to make the people who got screwed the bad guys. I was unemployed for a year, and almost lost my house, so the hard times story...
yeah, been there done that, and still didn't steal.

Im not trying to make anyone seem like the bad guy. Im vouching for Michelle and saying she will get it figured out. And my personal opinion of "if this amount of money is a huge deal to people, they shouldn't be spending it on a CALENDAR." I realize everyone has their one hardship story, I just view things practically. If you're broke, dont buy a silly calendar.

5 months ago I would have vouched for Michelle. I would have even helped her out if she asked.
I have never met anyone on this site so unreasonable they wouldn't work to resolve a situation like
this with the seller, the problem is, she doesn't seem to give a crap.

I totally agree with 97lestyousay cause if she cared she would have posted a message post saying sorry and why this has happened and telling us full refunds.

dustin, stay out of this.

if michelle was "straight up" like you are saying she is (which by the way, i would have done as well last year) she would have at least posted here after i asked her to update this thread, more than once, here, and on facebook.
but no, she is too buzy on vacation in hawaii to bother.
thats bull****, and the fact thats its "only" 20$ dont matter, add up ALL the guys she took money from, and its no longer just 20$.
there is one guy who is owed for 5 calanders, what about him? think that is an insignifigant amount of money too?

Ok I have been following this thread and while I was still hoping that she was going to refund your money... and not saying she was ripping people off.... well she also ripped me off..

Long time ago I payed her around 150 dollars for a stuff needed to convert your car auto to manual. From pedals to slave cylinder. Well stuff never came In. And she keep saying that she was putting all the parts together. Well. E-mail her about 2 months ago and said she was going to send me the parts in a week and I m still waiting... how is this going to end?

Now other person.. Jim.. also owes me stuff from a "complete st205 wrc set" he sold me a year ago. Owes me shifter cables. Ecu. Etc. Now close to 500-600 dollars. Have sent him messages and nothing. Can anyone here help please..

What gets me mad is that I have a freakin nice 3sgte wrc sitting on my garage and not being able to complete my swap because of these 2 people which I trust them for being recognized on here but this is bs

I'm still waiting on a hoody i paid for awhile back but i'm with dustin on this one. I have been in contact with Michelle and from what i understand she is doing what she can to provide refunds to those who have asked.
So far i read alot of bashing on here and only a few people have actually posted their order.
I for one refused the refund she had offered and am choosing to wait for my order.
Unless i'm mistaken, she has already refunded money to some of the orders, am i correct? I highly doubt someone trying to "rip people off" would even bother with refunds and just disappear.
Try E-mailing her, without hostility i add. I simply asked for an update and if everything was alright. I received a return E-mail within 3 hours so it's hard to believe she would be ignoring anyone unless they are rude or unmannered.
I'm sure it'll all work out but that's just my opinion.

how are these comments trash talk? some people are venting their frustration because it's taken this long and there are also people vouching. look, if the calenders weren't made she should still have everyone's money refunded by now. it's that simple, it shouldn't take long to get everyone's money back. anyways im done with this topic, hope everything works out for everyone. it's just sad to see this kind of situation.
