Welp decieded it's time to move on from hondas for a little bit and try something else, i acquired a yota not to long ago, and i've decieded to just part out my accord and move on.
Car handles great i like the look and it gets great gas mileage all ya really need in a dd. They won't be to much go fast parts put on this car, but it happens.

Heres a few old pictures from like a year ago.

Most recent pix i've taken (Today had to clean up the VC went with the old school look that matched the valve cover lines)

Engine/Drivetrain:
Swaped 94 7afe (old one spun a rod bearing).
New OE clutch kit.
Tune up.

Plans:
Ebay header, Vibrant chambered muffler, kool blue drop in filter with 2.5 SRI pipe ran into the stock box, Very mild regrinds probably 260's from delta.

Chassis/Suspension:
Stock aswell for now.

Plans:
Good set of springs, strut bar, and wheels 16's probably.

Exterior:
Pretty rough.

Plans:
Home depot lip (Fronts smashed up),Winshield.

Interior:
Same as the exterior.

Plans:
Clean it up i love the interiors in these cars feels like a mini cockpit.

Thanks fellas she is rough and needs a bit of TLC, but i got her for free she was my little brothers first car. I resently performed work on the car told him i'd take it and welp he said it's yours.

Anyway i will always have the moding bug i might have owned 3 cars out of 17 that were stock. My current build is what i don't want to do as it was costly....

F22b1 block/ Decked .005/ Honed/ Nippon pistons, rings, and wrist with coated domes.
Oem rod and main bearing's/ king thrust/ Shot peened rods with gsr 9mm ARP rod bolts/ F22a6 windage tray.
F22a1 head milled .035, a few new valves and supertech valve seals/ A6 valve springs/ Ported head/ Cleaned up A6 intake manifold tapered inlet.
And bolt on's etc etc.
^^ This is what i don't want to do again anytime soon lol. Thanks for the welcomes.

Basically any F block from 90-97 is the same with very minor differences. My mildly built engine might stay with me for a future project. My plans were to add a kelford cam into the mix and some spray, but i'm burnout with hondas this is my 5th build and i've owned 7 since 07 not to mention countless swaps.

I did the engine swap in the celica a year+ ago and it's just as easy took like a days time, but sourcing the engine took months!

I've had a ed6 ef hatch, ef sedan, eg sedan, eg hatch, 2 cb7's, and a lude. I won't get into my others because i've had a little of everything i started with a 3rd gen fbody.
Yeah i'll mod this, but very mildly nothing like my past projects

Not anytime soon I might do it silver and black as i've already got a gallon of custom black mixed up that i was gonna spray my cb in.
I was wondering when someone would catch or say something about my UN lol, i just figured it fited well enough.

With 105hp at the flywheel.... yeah, but you already knew that. lol

Welcome to the site, there are OODLES of threads on the site that will tell you how to fix everything you need to. Air bag replacements the works

We all have our quirks.

Plans are very mild i'll probably run some sprint springs (people seem to like them from what i've gathered on here) strut bars and some wheels. The car handles as is quite zippy through these mountain twistes up here.
As for the body i'ma pop what dents i can out and run a homedepot lip to cover the gap on the front bumper.

Might be easier to just get a new bumper in genral

Any reason you dont want to build the celica?
I know you want a reliable dd but is there any other reasons
Cuz it sounds like your more than capable of building it up good an still keep the reliability in check

I don't have to paint it like i would a bumper and then hope it matches which it wouldn't exactly.

Reason is time and money ofcourse, i figure bolt on's and a set of regrinds should do me just fine that's more than most do with the 7a (and i might just get a spare head and port it aswell) besides everyone wanting to boost them.

I just want to keep it simple.

It'll get put to use either for someone else or a future go fast project of mine, i still lacked the cam and nitrous kit but everything else is ready to roll.

I've taken quite the intrest in this celica one has to go and honestly hondas are a dime a dozen and i have no issues tearing an engine down and rebuilding or building one in the future if i want a quicker toy to mess about with.

The car scene here in the stix isn't big, but you've got us true enthusiast which most of my friends have sprayed sn95s or boosted eg's my buddy evans got a gnx and a 415whp hatch, but like i said they might be 10 of us in the whole county that enjoy everything thats had work put into it.

And i just posted in your thread loving the swap my friend i'm sure the LSV boy's won't know what hit em lol i'd say you could wax more than half of the honda fanbois we see everyday with ease.

Did the homedepot lip real quick today it def needs some mesh looks decent from the front but from the side you can still see the gap to much.Oh well it was like 10bux in total counting the rivets mesh should make it look a bit better.

Exactly what i had in mind minus thinking it's "JDM" lol, but i might put my bisimoto lic frame over it aswell. Idk yet, and yeah for $10bux i'm not going to complain atleast my rivets are straight unlike most that do this.

Went to wal-mart got 16ft of gardening edge ($4.83 IIRC).
Then roughly cut it to length (Cut it a little longer than what you need you can trim it when your fitment is how you like it).
Drilled my too side holes so i could rivet the passenger and driver side in place to hold the lip on.
Then i eyeballed the lip and rivets as close as i could. Shouldn't take longer than 30mins give or take.

I used the following......
An electric drill.
A drill bit the size of the rivets (Or there abouts don't go larger though).
Rivet gun and rivets.
Gardening edge.
Box cutter for trimming the sides.
And not necessary, but helps to have a good eye and a extra set of hands.

Make sure ur pre/cleaner isnt oil based bro, that would also cause the fish, but Im sure u already know that. And also be sure to run it thru ur gun before painting, prolly just a dirty gun.

I'm 90% sure it was a dirty gun, i tried it on a few test panels after cleaning it and it did just fine. So i'm gonna try it again tomorrow and hope it turns out halfway decent.

Not the best picture but it'll do for now (My cells camera screen is scratched as you can see). I'm going to wet sand it and do 2 more coats atleast, but with this ME it has to dry for awhile before you can sand or shoot it again in like a week plus CHEAP PAINT WOOT.

Bisimoto tag frame LAWL.

Not really a theme going on here, but it crossed my mind although i wouldn't paint them i'd use a film just incase i didn't like the look.

Question....Would you fellas think painting the hatch black would look better or just the spoiler?

It's a toss up so i would like some input on both.

Never hurts, but i only have so much paint and all of this is being done outside in the elements. So painting parts i can take off is a big plus, i'm having to redo the hood due to water spots awell.

Question....is their only 2 bolts for each side of the spoiler? or is their some playing peek a boo?
I took 4 of the obvious bolts off and the bitch won't come off i don't wanna brake it.

Well dang...This is why you remove such piece's before painting. Macco paint job has lasted a good bit though was on it before he got the car 4+yrs ago.

Is there a certain way to take it off i know some cars with spoiler's slide a certain way for installation and to take them off. This one seems to have about 3/8 of slide play front to back. The front corners are lose it's the back that wont lift up so that's why i'm asking if theres a certain way to get it off.

It's probably being held on by the adhesive. And I know you said you removed two bolts, but were two of them holding in rubber bumpers? is so, then you missed two bolts. I'm not sure but I think two are hidden by little plastic covers.

I took off 2 that had rubber bump stops toward the rear (12mm) and 2 under rubber seals (10mm) toward the front of the spoiler. I did look under the plastic hatch cover and seen nothing, but i will check again.

Like i said the fronts lose and i can slide it front to rear about 3/8's of an inch and lift it, but i can not get the back to brake free to lift only front to rear play aswell as a bit of side to side.I would just like do paint it separate but before i brake or crack it i'll just paint it while it's attached to the hatch.

Adhesive among dirt, grime, and paint it shouldn't have that play in it if it was stuck to the stuff, i'm more afraid of messing it up i guess than anything else. Spoiler'less just don't look right if i did brake it i would be SOL.

Theres an alinement pin that gets stuck in place pretty good.
So you just have to wiggle the crap out of it to get that pin to slide out

Took her out for a spin today after fixin the no start issue, timing, and new ngk plugs. Doesn't run bad at all WAY better than before and i was even on a slight hill turning left had to let out abit in first also with 2 full pc's in the hatch my tools and the accords axles you can hear the slight bang when i catch 2nd thats all the stuff sliding toward the rear it made the hatch light come on LOL.

0-80mph letfting off in 3rd a bit was a back bumpy country road.
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=e7R2X-tWrus

Should do alot better once i replace this cracked to hell exhaust mani and down pipe aswell as my intake done. I'm impressed with it for 115hp&tq before it was stupid slow the timing was retarded like 15+ degrees with fouled heavy gas smelling denso's.

Haha lets hope not. The only thing extreme power wise thats crossed my mind is a small shot maybe a 35, i've always been about building under dog engine's so if later down the road i want to actually build an engine it will be a 7a.

Supension wise i do plan to do abit this isn't a fast car by any means (Should have no issues with a mini me z6 or y8 though), but they do stick in the bends which is great for my neck of the woods plenty of mountain twisties.

I'll be honest i'm getting addicted to the car thats why the hondas going.

They seem to atleast last 200k on the average, i'm talking an actual build not a rebuild and slaping **** together and hoping it will hold power you'd be better off just having few spares to swap in rather than hope to make reliable power on a slaped together rebuild.

As of now engine build talk is about as pointless as pissing in the wind, as i don't have the money nor do i want a project and i would need to do a little more research on the engine both hands on on a spare and on the web.
If i wanted something for straight line fun i'd finish the accord and keep it. What i need is a good reliable cheap on fuel, but yet fun DD and the celica is all of that plus it's pretty simple just like my hondas.

I enjoy it and working on it hasn't bored me yet thats a big plus. I'm 2 engine builds deep on my accord and i've grown tired of it (Sometimes i'd like to finish it for myself) & all of the idiots that usually come with the group which most are young.

This crowd seems to be alot less fanboi'ish & down to earth

Hey hey hey
I did almost nothing to my last honda that wasnt to make it perform better
It still had the stock y7 but was a mildly built vtec killer.
Only thing done to it that didnt help was i slammed it.
An it was slammed too aerospeed yellow coilovers on tokiko blue( i cant rember how to spell the name lol) struts
We hen it was done i had taken the adjusters out so it was just the spring lol but with my camber kit my front was only off by 2-3 degrees.
Sold it to a buddy who has basically f@$ked the whole car up

I think Im more relucktent to say that the fact of hard to find parts like with our cars is the appeal to me versus seeing them all in every magazine u open. I mean hell (no offense Tak) but Honda guys can almost buy a whole motor from wal-mart, lol. I just hate the idea that tuners are following fads rather than standing out individually. And I really hate the fact that everyone is doing this low, cambered out look. Yeah its gorgeous on VIP cars. because they are done right. But not on a tuner. Its looks absolutely retarded. What happened to the (and I hate to use this refrence) Fast n furious days, where people kited, painted, and lowered their rides and not cambered either. Im talking letting it hover just a lil bit over the tires. I miss those days. People took pride in their cars and had an artist vision with the wild body kits and sound systems. Its was great. Now a days its, lower it, camber it, put stupid tiny rims on (which is not at all JDM trust me I know I lived in Japan for four years) add an annoyling loud exhaust and call the project finished. JUST DOWN IN OUT LAZY!!!! sorry Im having a moment, lol

Its just how the times have changed i guess joe. I cant say im even trying to be all that different
But thats mainly because i really like the nice clean of the stock parts. An i do plan on getting close to the same ride height as mak but im gonna run 16's but im gonna do what ever i can to keep my camber within a degree of perfect. But thats mainly because i love the look of a super slammed car. Hell i even like the stupid rough ride.
I couldnt even get my shoe under my old civic lol an i dd that car for about 5months like that 60-70 mile a day

But itll still be different from everyone cause of what you cant see.

Wish the 1mz was done frown.gif

Exactly the stanced or poked and "JDM" has ran it's course every car is pretty much the same.

I've never owned a kit, but some lip or half bumper kit's like lucky star produced is good looking gut expensive.

When i fist got my dx on ebay springs it was terrible!

My old b1 build on my current accord lowered on gr2s and eibach pro's i can't stand DD'n a slammed car.

And the build which never made it to get tuned due to oil pump failure.
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=-leXGjpaeSs

I enjoy the celica more than the accord i've had my 7yr run with honda time for a change even if the celicas power plant has very little aftermarket support i wanna keep it simple anyways I/H/E should be just fine for a dd.

No love for the hondas? lol

Anyway been awhile fellas. As for updates i ordered a few things nothing special, but a few things needed replacing so i figured i'd upgrade a tad while i was at it.

Custom air intake with a drop in K&N (Still waiting on my coupler to finish that up).
And a DNA (Generic "Ebay") header since my manifold and DP are done for. It should look pretty and be lighter atleast.

Like i said nothing special but i spent under a $100 bux and a "OE" type replacement mani cost more. I'll post pictures once stuff gets here or put on, Thanks for reading my short rant.

Lil-Joe101: You keep thinking this is going to turn into an all out build thread, but it's not lol. I will do things here and there but nothing that will put it outta commission for more than a day or 2.

Kurt95GT: Mine was a uncommon build atleast and i'm not done with hondas forever but i am for a good while. Every car may look the same but no too engine builds will ever be the same.

NYp8tBaller07: As i said i will post pictures once i get the parts or after i install them.

Thank's for the interest guys. Any input on small performance mod's that WORK throw them at me i will entertain the ideas.

You supply the "dollhairs" and i'll put in the work. Honestly this car's fun to me because it's reliable and RUNS might not be quick but it's still fun. A few things it don't need but sorta does is cosmetic repairs, paint, springs, and wheels the last two are what i am wanting but i need to find some wheels at a bargain first.

Yeah the 6th gen virus has spead i'm sure later down the road it will get some more goodies. I just finally got my cuppler the seller sent me a peugeot key chain aswell? so once i trim up my SS piping i should have some pix of the intake.

Kurt i would go with something besides those too, but i would take a rsx-s over a wrx unless it was a bug eye (My favorite body style).

Good luck on whichever you decide to go with!

Heres a few tiny updates and random pictures, please excuse the nasty ass engine bay i plan to clean it as soon as possible.

Intake (Swiss cheese air box/K&N filter/Stanless steel pipping) Still need to get somemore hose clamps though!

Add'ed the spec's to the cam gear sides of the VC.

Old plugs.

Washed it the other week and poped out the rear quarter dent a bit.

Abit of an update.... Intake, Shell textured black painted block, DNA header.

That's about it as far as the engine performance goes everything done had to be be replaced reguardless so i upgraded abit. The only other thing i can see in it's future that might related is a muffler but it will be more so for looks and sound as most are.

Some spray might be in this cars future just a tiny pill for some fun, and still need to get my DP cut and welded. I really wish they would make a celica header this fitment **** is for the birds.

On another note Got the CB put together dyno broken in and such. Put all new fluids in it to store for the winter and blew a trans seal shortly afterwards, so it will either sit or sell. Before this happen i had just finished the cb's body work, and got a half gallon of ppg concept custom mix blue (Close to grabber blue) lol the cars cursed!

Finally got the header fabed up, cut the stock down pipe and cut the header to match. Has a leak needs welded, but atleast it doesn't sound like a high reving tractor.

Also goot a short acceleration video (Need to upload first) of how it run's after timing, plugs, header & intake, still slow but ya can't expect 4sec 0-60 out of maybe 95-110whp unless it was stupid light, but it runs good though.

Through my AEM dryflow on and drilled a hole for the IAT and 3m window welded it in. Hopefully soon i will order a ws2 obx replica muffler and have it and my header welded up, i am hoping for a decent quite tone.

Need to replace the back mount aswell any tips such as loosening weight bearing mounts to make the install easier? If not i'm sure i'll figure it out.

Support the engine, drop the subframe, wiggle the mount loose.

Looking for tires at the moment.... Good dry dirt, soggy dirt/light mud, and snow tire nothing crazy, but something i can play on in all terrains.

I am thinking about the Falken sincera SN-282 and the General AltiMAX RT, 195/70/14 is what im looking to go with though i might be willing to go down to a 65 or 60 for the sidewall's. Any input is welcome....

I have Altimax HPs and they've been great tires throughout the year; snow, rain, and dry. I'd expect the RTs to be just as awesome so that's what I'd recommend.

Because racecar!

Got my new rubbers on the night after it being hauled and did a nasty burntout on the old tires. New rubbers are Firestone winterforces great in all terrain tire's have mildly aggressive tread, still waiting on my rally mudflaps probably next week sometime.

Going with a mad max theme/off roader, car was wrecked 4times in 2months before i got it from my little brother so...plans.....

Get header dp welded
Some sort of muffler and a turn up tip
Bedliner or undercoat the car
Roof mounted fogs

No power really needed so no plans there as it has all it needs for some fun offroad.
