Hey guys I've just ordered some sticker bomb sheets. Just wondering if anyone has had experience putting them on the center console?
and also what are your thoughts?

Thanks

Was tempted to do this, but didn't wanna ruin the trim if I did like it.
Give it a shot and show us the results.

Sweet!
Always was tempted to try it but also never really had enough stickers/didn't want to spend the money on a sheet.

like us in the US love the JDM style, those in Japan are the opposite, they like how the US does their cars or how the USDM japanese cars look like. For example, we try to do the Japan Front End Conversion and then they like to do the USDM counterpart conversion.

Couldn't help myself so I had to do some today smile.gif not as bad only just started so keep that in mind and also this is my first try. I will upload photos tomorrow.
To anyone thinking about it I would definitely suggest single stickers rather then a sheet but hey I'm giving it a go and that's the main thing.

Was the sheet just one large square sticker with the sticker bomb look?
I thought it would be a sheet with individual stickers like the ones you got when you were a kid and your could place wherever.
Individual stickers would be much easier.
Excited for pics.

Yer pretty much one big sticker. I will upload pics after work, keep in mind I haven't done all of it yet otherwise I will have nothing to do on the weekend haha.
Definitely would prefer single stickers but at least I got something to start with now.

I like it thumbsup.gif
I, like a couple people here, have considered it but haven't done it. Currently I've woodgrain vinyl.

Might I suggest using a heatgun on low or a blow dryer on the sticker around edges.. It will soften/strecth the material a bit and will allow you to pull the sticker tight around curves and corners with no binding, for example the small piece that is sticking out in the ashtray. Just a suggestion, I kinda have ocd when it comes to detail smile.gif

Again very nice!

Thanks heaps I have wondered how to do that, I will see what I can do, when the sticker sheets turned up here the mailman left them mostly out of the mailbox and it was pooring down rain so the edges lack a bit of stick, Appreciate
the positive feedback and glad you guys are liking it. I will put up more pics on the weekend when the rest will hopefully be done.

Looks good, but are you goign to go right to the edge of the trim? or leave it how it is?
I'd say go right to the edge for more of a completed look.

As I said I'm only half way wink.gif It will go to the full trim I just didn't want to do it all the other day otherwise
I wouldn't have a project on the weekend.

Ok guys here is some more progress.

Done bout 3/4 of it now, used a heat gun this time to stretch the stickers a little bit and make them stick better. Havnt applied a clear coat yet. The rest should be done by the end of the week.
Enough of me talking here is some pics:

I need to fix up the ash tray the edging of the sticker is sticking up I no.

As always would love to hear your opinions smile.gif

Looking good thumbsup.gif Knew some heat would do the trick.
For the clock, what I did was tuck the material behind.. so pop the clock out, lay the material and wrap into the clocks slot then when its all done pop the clock back in. Theres really no space, so excess sticker will stay tucked. Just my .02 cents smile.gif

Not too dificult its only 2 tabs, one on either side that hold it in place.. only trick is after out undo one tab it usually pops back in when you try the other side tongue.gif

Working on it tonight so hopefully might get it ready for a clear coat by tomorrow or the next day.

So hit a bit of bad luck last night, the clear coat seemed to react to some parts of the stickers. Thinking maybe because i left it a week to put a coat on it. Anyway I'll post some pics up soon

Ditto, and the passenger air vent. Maybe the window switch panels too.

Was just going to post that too.
I wouldn't do the window switch panels on the doors, but would do the passenger side air vent to match the driver side

Haha glad you like it mate but I don't mind if people hate it. At the end of the day its not their car its mine and
I will do what ever I want to it. I will definitely do the passenger side vent and probably just leave it at that hey.

Yea I think doing the window switch surrounds would be over doing it, however, i would do the shifter surround, to make make it all flow together, as well as teh passenger side vent, but I don't think I'd do much more than that.

Good stuff man looks pretty wicked.

Yer just wasnt sure with the boot surround because the plastic is only small so your not actually going to see the stickers there will just be a bit of colour but I may look into it and see what I can do, thanks wink.gif

When I redid all of my console pieces and such, I was thinking about doing this, but ended up just going with the carbon fiber since I was unsure if I'd like it or not. Now I wish I had went ahead and did it.

Looks great! thumbsup.gif

Yer I was a bit unsure at first especially since I haven't seen a celica with one done to it but I thought I would give it a go anyway and I'm happy with the results and for me its just enough stickers as well, not to much or to less.

Somehow I believe sticker-bombing looks good only on jap cars (preferably on a drift car or a rat look Honda)... Maybe it is just me, but that VW Beetle looks even nastier with the stickers. I mean... imagine that an old american muscle car is sticker-bombed, that's just sick and wrong. The same thing goes with EU cars.
Now a jap car... that can come out quite nice, if not exaggerated.

Oh and as for the Celica interior in this thread... I'm surprised how good it looks redface.gif I'm a fan of a carbon-like interior myself, but this is great...
Do the door panels next! That middle round part, or that bottom "pocket" part.

Haha agreed I don't think I would ever see a muscle car with sticker bombing, I have thought about it but I just don't know hey, I don't want to
make it overboard but if enough people like it I might give it a go.

I wouldnt bro. Stick with what u have. Its not over done. Center consul (that u have done right now) Shifter surround and vents is perfect. Last thing u want is it to be over done.

Haha can't seem to make up my mind. What I will do is finish off the passenger vent and just leave it at that. It's plain and simple
and just has the right amount for a bit of wow factor so I think I will leave it as is. Can't believe the amount of people checking out
this thread haha.
