Cheers mate and yes it is. Basically I went to put the car on a dyno and found that the car couldn't clear with the spats on so they've had to come off and they'll be tiger sealed back on along with the other parts like the riser blocks as well smile.gif

Ok then well I did say it'd be a while before I changed much else and it's been about a month.

I've since bought her some new Euro Riser Blocks (The half size of the GT FOUR blocks) and perhaps more importantly a set of projectors which a good friend of mine is going to bring to a meet for me so they don't get damaged

So they'll be going on in a few weeks as will the Riser Blocks before I return the front spats on and attach them all properly

I can't wait to get it all done and I daresay it'll make the front end look a lot meaner again biggrin.gif

Thanks for reading and more progress shortly no doubt

Car looks great man, I voted for it last month in the CTM love how it looks!

How much of a drop do those springs offer? Sits nicely.

Thanks very much buddy I appreciate it biggrin.gif

I blame Timmy for setting me off with the projectors etc though saw his car on here and drooled for ages so now I fancy a go but in White lol

I've gotta be honest though buddy I don't know what springs they are, All I know is they're black which makes me think they're either TRD springs os possibly AVO's

Either way I believe it's approx 40-50 mm roughly as it's a lot lower than most other UK Celica's so either way I'm happy with it smile.gif

well time for a quick update smile.gif

Sadly due to unforeseen circumstances the projectors have been sold on as funds wouldn't allow on this occasion frown.gif

However all isn't lost as I've managed to get the riser blocks fitted and I'm reasonably happy with how they look.

I went to a modified car show over here and to say it was a washout would be an understatement. I spent around $100 on cleaning stuff for the car, had it gleaming then took it in the gates and it came out looking like this frown.gif

Although the car also made it in an uncomplimentary pic of the event too LOL

And now to top it all off I've got a crack in the windscreen too so I'm not best pleased all in all frown.gif

More to follow I'm sure though smile.gif

Cheers buddy they've really set the look of the car off I think so I'm happy with that

Well another month's gone by and I've got bored yet again and my tyres are nearly shot to I've bought yet another set of alloys.

They're BK 299's but they've been powder coated to prevent the lacquer corroding which is a common thing for them so by doing this it stops it. And I got them for an absolute steal of a price too so plenty happy with that

They can't be fitted just yet but here's a quick pic smile.gif

They're 17 x 7J so nothing massive or fancy so I'll likely end up buying daft sized spacers to pull them out to the edge a bit better and as I did say I wanted white wheels and had them before I smashed them to bits I was happy with the look of the car and I've liked these wheels for a while too so all is good.

So I've got a bit of work to do when the wheels come off so the caliper will be getting sorted hopefully so it might not leak smile.gif

Well I should probably update this, As mentioned before I've bought the BK299's and finally fitted them and I'm reasonably happy with the look although I'm undecided if they need spacing out a tad (ET35) I've got 6mm spacers on the rear at the moment but I'm pondering going 15mm rear 10mm front but undecided so opinions would be good please?

Anyways I'm stil working on sorting some projectors for her as I think that'd finish the look off how I want it and then after that is to get the doors replaced so they're closer to the same shade of white as the car is as it's the one thing that really really irritates me about the car at the moment

Anyways enough chatter I went out the other day and got some of my best pics yet (I'm a noob with a camera) so here they are smile.gif

Cheers mate I appreciate it. I'm thinking projectors / crystal indicators then the outside's done then I can work on the engine and get a tad more power I hope lol smile.gif

I wasn't sure on the wheels but as they were white on the white car and cheap I took them up and I'm glad I did as I'm finally happy with them lol smile.gif

Waiting to see it with projectors.

I just realised that I hadn't actually posted on your thread yet tongue.gif

Your car looks great; super clean (Well, except for the car show pics tongue.gif)

The new wheels look okay, but they are a bit busy for my tastes. If you stuck those stock / europe option (Or whatever they are - all I know is I can't have them frown.gif )17" 5 spokes back on, with the lights and indicators the exterior would be mint. (If everybody can't tell by now I love the sleek, OEM look tongue.gif).

Cheers Josh lol. The car's lowered already so no cheating tongue.gif

Turns out the guy with the projectors is a complete bulls**tter so I won't be dealing with him so she'll be staying how she is for a while which sucks to be honest

I know what you mean about the 5 spokes Josh they're actually Masitaly wheels with Toyota centre caps but I couldn't get round to actually liking them I think they look too thin spoked for the chunky look of the car so the others are ideal but I mainly bought them for the colour as I've always been white on white minded.

Anyways she's had a lot of bits bought for her service (5W 40 Fully Synth and Iridium plugs amongst other things so it turns out me telling him and the rest of CCUK to swing has done her a favour really lol)

After that she'll be getting the windscreen replaced for MOT then I'll just enjoy her I suspect smile.gif

Cheers mate I appreciate it.

She's got a few bits left to do interiorwise which will be done soon but one of the things I want doesn't seem to exist lol

I'd definitely go gen 7 seats on yours they'd suit nicely (I've got the 03 onwards ones) but either set work well in my opinion smile.gif

Well a quick update no pics yet but I'm sure you know what she looks like now haha

Due to driving to a friends house a few nights ago there was an awful noise which I wondered what the heck was going on, I got out and realised that the arch liner had come loose and was dragging along the floor.

When I pulled over to take a look and realised how bad it was I noticed half of it scraping the floor and the rest looked like a cheese string that had been pulled apart frown.gif

So I popped over to a friends today, picked up a new arch liner which will be being fitted this Friday hopefully along with some other parts

I've also picked up a new set of interior plastics which are in white, I'll give them a quick touch up in due time but they'll do for now.

They'll be going in Friday and with any luck she'll be getting a well earned service (I've bought 5W 40 Fully Synth oil) and a set of NGK Iridium plugs etc so with any joy she'll be better on fuel too smile.gif

Hopefully pics to follow smile.gif

Well now I need your help please folks. As you probably know I was buying projectors but the deal went sour so I'm not doing that for the minute. (I will be eventually though fear not wink.gif )

Anyways I'd sold my HID's on to another member on the club so I'm currently back to my OEM bulbs which are as much use as an ashtray on a motorbike so I'm changing them

I've decided to change the Main / Dipped beams to MTEC Super White's as they're legal for MOT's etc over here which is handy but now I'm kinda torn between changing my fog bulbs to the yellow ones for the JDM look

Now I've seen this pic (Shameless plug for Tigawoods cheers for the pic tongue.gif )

http://farm5.static.flickr.com/4114/473430...923e6ebbf_z.jpg

And I'm now torn between either doing it or not doing it permanently or do I just keep them clear and use the yellow bulbs

Or alternatively do I just remove the fogs completely?

HELP PLEASE biggrin.gif

Cheers in advance

Your car is all white so I think yellow might draw alot of attention to the fogs. if that's what you want then you can do it. If not you can do the yellow bulbs as the car will still be white but you can have the yellow when you turn them on.

Well good news and bad news I guess

The bad news is I'm staying around but the bad news is I've sold Daisy the G6 and I've now replaced her with a SW20 MR2

I've wanted one for years and now I've finally got one.

I didn't expect to get one as they're getting rare over here now but now I've got one I'm quite pleased

So anyways I'll upload pics as and when smile.gif

That's bad news and bad news.... (Your words, not mine ^.^)

That's a bit of a surprise, but good luck with your MR2 smile.gif They are one of the cars that are easy to get over here, and I had been looking at before I bought the Celica, but decided against it for the extra practicality... Cracking car though.

Nice to see you noticed my 'intentional' typo LOL

Once again we've got the 3S-GE over here not sure what engine codes you all get in various parts of the world

She'll need a few little bits doing but she's pretty fun to drive,

I need to adjust the coilovers / remove the spacers as she's stupidly stanced at the minute lol

Cheers buddy I appreciate it,

It's certainly not as quick as my 6gc was (not sure what had been done to it but it was very free revving)

I hope it's ok for me to throw a few pics in here as I don't know where else to put them,

I plan on sticking around if I may too smile.gif

I've only done a few little bits like removing the headlight tint / bought some indicators for it so nothing too drastic yet wink.gif

Anyways pics?

Anyways I've seen what the new owner of my 6gc has done and to say I'm not impressed is an understatemnt frown.gif

For a start he's tinted the fogs / main beams yellow yet for some weird reason he's done the dipped beams with a blue tint as well, Not my cup of tea at all frown.gif

Yes indeed mate we just swapped the cars over which suits me mainly as the 6 had quite a few little bits that needed doing but funds just wouldn't stretch to frown.gif

I saw a pic of it the other day and almost cried if I'm honest, I thought she looked ok as she was but apparently not the case

I'm hoping I can put a few personal touches on the Mr2 although the base itself is pretty good already just needs his bad taste removing haha

Right then well today / yesterday I've been getting very angry with the car and the issues with the suspension geometry

Not only are the wheels 8.5J wide but they're ET36 all round (MR2's are meant to be staggered) so there's a issue there
In addition the wheels after being removed from the hub have no spigot rings so another issue there as all the weight is going onto the wheel studs
Third issue is that the wheel studs on the front are longer than the rears without the spacers on, they won't fit with OEM bolts so I now need to source OEM studs which I have as well as new bolts seeing how these ones are cheap tat made from Ali instead of steel and have managed to round off on one of the hubs

So after 3 hours of trying to remove the stuck nut off of the hub and finally managing the car is now unsafe to drive until I receive the new bits so I can smash the studs through and fit the new ones frown.gif

Apart from that the back of the car looks better now it's not got an ET of 11 due to the 25mm spacers on the rears which is good, Once I've got the new studs for the front I'll possibly put the 5mm spacers I've recently bought onto the rear to pull the wheels out slightly then

I've also removed the yellow fog tints as well and think I prefer it plain although I'll happily get the MTEC Golden Style bulbs to replace them for the more JDM look whenever I want it compared to all the time smile.gif

More as and when hopefully unless I get no joy from the previous owner in which case I'll be getting my 6 back smile.gif
