My name is Jose and i have been a member for about a year now so i decided to talk and show hows my progress goes with my celica. So i purchased my Celica back in 2010 i fell in love with Celicas since the first time i knew about them and i started my research from engine types to model years. while i was looking at Celicas i came across one that was a 95 beige one but it was too expensive at that time and i needed to trade my old car and give the rest in cash, so i kept searching until i saw this add on the internet:
[

So i went to see it with my uncles and we tried it and instantly i fell in love with it but at that time i didn't know much about it or where it came from. here are some pics of my celica first day at my house:

I will be posting more info and pics. smile.gif

What is it with you and speeding tickets? I have about four times the power and stay out of trouble. tongue.gif You should keep an eye out for some nice 14" alloys, the problem being not many cars have the 5-100 pattern. Most are either 4-100 or 5x114.3 it seems.

mud flaps from Ebay

Things i used to hold them in place

The radiators are notorious for cracking due to age, so maybe you lucked out and that's it. If it were the fans it would've taken some time for it to overheat and you would've noticed the temp climbing. When mine cracked there was a large amount of steam and the temp gauge indicated it was overheating, even though I know it didn't because it happened when the car wasn't even running and I was listening to the radio. It sounds like coolant found its way into the fuse and relay boxes, will just have to check things out with a multimeter.

Yeah it was really weird tho since it was working fine the day before that. frown.gif with our Celicas Age is a problem. I mean it did took time for it to overheat because i left my house as usual and once i got near the city temperature raised quickly i put on the air to cool it down thats where i noticed that the fans where not moving at all. We put down the temp and turn it off once we started it again thats when smoke came out the fuse and relay boxes.

Sounds more like an electrical issue involving the fuses to me rather than the radiator failing. If you were in stop and go traffic in the city with no direct air on through to the radiator it would start climbing with the temp due to your fans not running. It's amazing how much they keep the motor in check with the temp. Which fuse boxes smoked out on you?

Both the relay box on the engine bay and the fuses that are on the drivers side they both started to smoke.

The relay box has two fuses for fans and the drivers side underhood fuse box has one, so its very possible that it burnt out those fuses. give all the fuses a look though to see if anything else could have burnt out. Quite possible though once you replace any bad fuses that it will fix your issue. Did you have a chance to check the radiator yet?

Though there'd have to be a reason for the fuses to blow in the fashion they did. They'd have to been overloaded quite significantly to throw smoke. Could be as simple as someone used way too low of an amperage fuse, that or the motors shorted out.

Yeah thats why I said quite possible that it would fix it, not a guarantee. Just hoping for him that its not a in depth issue.

Hopefully it's something simple and the engine didn't suffer any damage. Aluminum heads don't like overheating at all.

My celica Got back Yesterday nothing serious it was just one wire that was on the relay box. Thanks to all of those who told me possible things that could of started the problem.
So one day while browsing for Celica parts i came a cross on a pair of Curren Headlights:

But they are not any Curren headlights they are a rare kouki dark tint Curren headlights. still looking for more parts to make the Curren conversion.

Once i got my new radio/DvD player on i wanted to make my console look different and unique and with the help of one of my friends we Carbon Fiber wrapped it:

And heres a little video of my celica and a few other celicas:

I want to say the GT-Four had a 3 piece front strut bar, but I could be mistaken. Someone with a more relevant memory could say for sure. I know that's the same as a regular GT anyway.

The GT4 got the same strut bar as the GT's and SS-III's. The TRD strut bar won't clear the intercooler, sadly.

Ahh ok. So there you go. I thought there was something about the TRD 3-point and the intercooler, but at the same time I remembered there was one that would clear. Though at the same time, be careful in the future not to pay more just because it's a "GT-Four" or "SS" part when a regular GT had the same thing.

Actually i didn't pay much theres ones on Ebay that go for $90 to $100 dollars i got mines for 30 so didn't pay much and the TRD strut bar is the one with the 3 Point . i just called it GTFour since is the one that comes with it. And i didnt know the GT came with it smile.gif thanks for the info

I say you got a good deal then. The rear strut bar was exclusive to the GT-Four though I want to say, so of course it'll be more expensive.

I say you got a good deal then. The rear strut bar was exclusive to the GT-Four though I want to say, so of course it'll be more expensive.

Yeah tell me about it i got mines for 90 bucks and it came with the leather protector. But I'm not doing nothing to that one since it got that leather feature.

So today i finally got around to sand my Front strut bar since its color got faded and it had some rust spots on it. Here are some pics to show the rust spots:

So after a while of work and dedication it looks like this:
I used 80 grid sand paper.

I still gotta figure out how to get to the hard to reach spots so i can get rid of the rust on both ends of the bars any suggestion let me know. smile.gif

To make it more custom and unique i decided to paint a design on it:

I made templates of the 6Gen Celica dragons out of vinyl and painted over them in red:

Since i got in the mood of painting decided to paint the headers cover too:
