So i leave my car at taco bellf or two hours last night and someone pried the window open, ripped it out and stole my amp. a 650 dollar rockford 2400 watts. i bought it yesterday and was on my way home from work. she was gonna push my 3 r types. nothing police can do because i guess when you fingerprint cars it messes up the electrical system with the graphite. i am so pissed i just wanna cry, they basically took 650 dollars out of my hand. it was 6 hours old. it had to be someone i know because they didnt touch my 400 dollar valentine one radar detector or my 400 dollar panasonic cd player. they went straight to the amp. i hate ppl who do this.

"The pencil-thin beam of the laser gun expands with distance. The actual beam is only several feet wide at 500 feet, but "aiming wobble" introduced by the human holding the bulky gun make the detectable beam at least three times larger. Even without the wobble, it covers most of the roadway after a mile. This means it is actually much easier to find a fragment of the beam at greater distances from the laser trap. At short ranges, the beam may be so concentrated that a detector mounted away from the aim point on the vehicle may not be able to pick up enough stray energy to activate an alarm."
several feet wide? uh... that's definitely a sales pitch. If you haven't gotten caught yet, that's cool. And if this product makes you feel safer about your chances, then it does what it was designed to do. But I still wouldn't count on it. That was a biased sales pitch, given in such a way that it points out the many ways in which it could "possibly" fail. Not worth the investment in my opinion. I still think you're better off saving your money for something else... after all, the odds of a cop putting a laser on the car you are driving are extremely low, especially in high traffic areas. Just use your head... if it's an area where it's easy to speed, and you know the odds of cops being there are high... just don't speed. Well, put simply, don't speed and you won't need it ![]() |
