O.K. guys I have read all the threads on this and still need a little advice. I have a 94 celica. I want to go to blue leds in my dash I know they are 194's but,
1. -What is the part number you guys have used at Superbrightleds.com, I don't want to order there's as I don't see any leds like the ones at: http://www.ultraleds.co.uk/ THere leds have 4 leds to the side and one to the front, the light goes in all directions and is plenty bright.... -THere is a picture of them at http://www.celica-club.co.uk/cgibin/phpbb2...pic.php?t=35274 *THey look awesome!!!! -But I don't know if Superbrightleds.com carries a similar bulb????? 2. -Also for the door switches I know it is a 74 bulb but again I can't find the bulbs the guy used for the write up who switched to blue lights in his door: http://www.celicatech.com/forums/showthread.php?t=4635 they were 3mm 5,000 MCD , now I don't know what the 5,000 MCD stands for? -At the UK website for leds I found 74's with either a 7,000 or 3,500 MCD rating. Can anyone tell me what this number means??? Is the Led brighter if the number is bigger?? THat would be my guess??? Thanks guys I am new to LEDS!!!!!! |

Oh... so THAT is what you want to know
![]() O.K. It it's not easy work, however... there are four places where were lightbulbs and now are the LEDs. 1. just on the left by the row of 5 buttons (illuminate those 5 buttons and blue area of heat indicator) 2. under the circulation switch area (illuminate just two buttons of air circulation and a/c button if available ![]() 3. approximately where the "LO" letters are (illuminate all letters of air flow intensity and red area of heat indicator) 4. separate bulb for rear window heating just under the heat sign The foxiness is use red and blue LEDs together at positions 1 and 3. For example: - at position 1 are three LEDs (blue, red, red). Red ones are turned right (to illuminate 5 buttons) and blue one turned to opposite direction (to illuminate blue area of heat indicator) - at position 3 are three LEDs too (red, blue, blue). Red is turned left (to illuminate red area of heat indicator) and blue ones are turned one right and second down (to illuminate all letters of air flow intensity). Now... absolutely most cunning idea of all cunning ideas ![]() ![]() This post has been edited by malpaso: Jul 28, 2006 - 7:54 AM -------------------- No more replicas... This is evolution... This is SS-four :)
