 racing gearbox, is it good for daily drive |

i am planning to build a reacing gearbox for a long time. but still i coulnt decide. there is some kinds like helical or strait cut gears, sequrential or not. i know that these gearboxes can be used with or without clutch which affects gearbox life. anyone have experience?

racing trannies are not good for daily driving. Why? Just trust me. It'll take too long to explain.

I have just one in my mind... racing part is "prepaired" for short but extreme effort, daily use is long but low effort (example from athletics: world's best 100 meters runner will not be best marathon racer). I belive I'm not far from true...
