I can't catch a break., I don't think this'll buff out Options

Well, in addition to finding out that I screwed myself out of $14K today by taking the job at Scott AFB, I plow through a deer with the Celica on the way home from base tonight after bowling in the league. Damage seen below:







Looks to be mostly cosmetic. Getting an estimate tomorrow and most likely dropping off at the body shop tomorrow too.

Fortunately, Comprehensive with Geico covers "animal damage" as they put it. Unfortunately, the $1K deductible (hey gotta keep some kind of sanity with insurance premiums in NJ) is going to be a hard pill to swallow considering the untimely manner in which this happened.

yup. the body shop replaced all but my drivers side high beam. afterwards they were all brand new except that one, which had a hole in it anyway, so I spent the ridiculous amount for a brand new high beam from the dealer. most body shops won't go directly to dealers for some things, they'll get recycled OEM quality stuff so its slightly cheaper ...sometimes


heres everything I think applies to you that my body shop wrote up for me.....

PANEL, FRONT END $250
+ man hours to Remove & Install and Refinish

HEADLAMP ASSY, HALOG RT $125
HEADLAMP ASSY, HALOG RT $75
+ $25/hr @ 0.2 hours each

LAMP, SIDE MARKER RT $21.89

they did replace my turn signal light for me but its not on the work order for some reason

PANEL ASSEMBLY, RAD SUP REPAIR - 4.0 hours
PANEL ASSEMBLY, RAD SUP REFINISH - 1.2 hours

FENDER, FRONT LT #538022B330 $245.49 + 2.9 hours
FENDER, FRONT LT REFINISH - 3.8 hours
+ fees for blending the paint to the door (because my paint is metallic ) and remove and install the door handle and mirror


all my repairs came out to $5,157. I had a $500 deductable
