Jesus H, everybody.....the guy does this for a living, its what he does for a living and its pretty labor and skill intensive. Prices to have somebody do a swap ARE NOT going to be cheap as it reflects the parts and labor, its not really worth gasping over....
Costs of a swap are TOTALLY different for everyone. Theres no logical way that you can sit here at a keyboard and say, "its going to cost $4000, at least", or......"$7,000, WTF is that all about?!". I don't see the point in shoehorning the swapping segment into some price category, it just is what it is. Let Doc do what he does. If its too much for you, then do it yourself and spend less for labor. If you don't want to to it, pay him the money and he'll make it happen.
