How does 215/40/17 tires look like?

I know the recommended is 215/40/17's but who here has them on? I know many have the 215/45/17 but they look real big but I'm sure many are happy with its comfort. I have 205/40/17 right now sometimes they look good but at other times, they look scrawny on my car. hurley97 View Member Profile Enthusiast Joined Mar 3, '04 From Portsmouth, RI Currently Offline Reputation: 33 (100%)	I had 205/40 when I first got the rims and IMO they looked horrible and the ride quality was horrible. maybe the 215 makes it a little better but I still recommend 45's to everyone all the time, unless you drive on F1 prepared roads at all times. the tires you get make a difference too. I had 215/45/17 Falken Zeix ZE-512 and they looked really good, now I have Yokohama AVID H4S in the same size but they look a little bigger. my theory is it has something to do with the treadwear, higher treadwear = deeper tread = thicker tire ...
