im gonna be tackling this mod in the weekend......got the radiator & the tranny cooler...any things i should be looking out for?.....i know i need new hoses n clamps, ive ordered a thermostat too. any other parts u guys/girls recommend? which hose on the transmission is the return line & pressure?
ps - did koyo changed their logo? mines look different, but teh part #s teh same...heres where i bought it from: http://cgi.ebay.com/ebaymotors/ws/eBayISAP...em=300139759836 in the ebay link thats teh new version logo, and teh one on mines is totally different...it says: KOYORAD "boxes" ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]()

Are they linked to the rest of the cooler or are they a separate cooling area. (Check the manual for that one) They could be used for the trans cooler. The Trans cooler hoses I think are 1/2 ID but I am not sure. You will need to check what they are once you take them off your car or check with toyota. Now, I am guessing your trans cooler is threaded input output. You will need to get 2 90* brass fittings from home depot/lowes, or you can use Earls fittings. Brass will be cheaper by a long shot. 2 of these but 90* or 45* bends ![]() then you will slip the hydraulic hose over the nipple side and clamp it down. Make sure you take the trans cooler with you so you have the proper threads matched up. Dont forget to use Teflon tape on them as well.
