Check out def's engine in Stefs 7a rebuild thread, daaamn clean and he used dino oil. the type of oil he used really isn't what made that much of a difference. its regular oil changes and having an engine that isn't burning oil that makes it that clean. in my old engine, the oil control rings were worn and doing nothing at that point which caused the massive oil burning, and when I switched to synthetic in a failed attempt to make things better it cleaned too much out and I began to have massive leak problems. I use Mobil1 synthetic 5w-30 in my rebuild because in the long run it'll keep the oil passages cleaner and it won't gunk up as much. -------------------- |

I thought that picture of a worn oil control ring was from defs engine? But yeah ofcourse regular oil changes has a huge impact on engine life |
