Hi, does anyone have an opinion on Celica's from year 2000 to 2005?? I'm thinking of getting one in the near future and i was wondering if anyone had driven or owned one.

If you're planning on getting a 7th gen celica, make sure you get the 2000-2001 celica gt-s. Lift kicks in at 6000 rpm and takes you to redline at 8400. From 2002 and up its nothing but crap. Reliability wise I hated the 2000 gt-s I owned. At first I loved it when lift kicked in, but theres no torque. Besides the Lift on the gt-s compared to the rsx type s is nothing. The type S has a more smoother transistion and doesnt dip the way the 2zz does. Handleing wise the 7th gen is amazing. I'd get it just for handling, but if you want power look some where else. Look wise too girly. Besides that I had tranny issues and motor issues. To be honest my 6th gen GT has been good to me. No tranny issues, the only real problem would have been the fuel pump, but who cares. I've already upgraded it and getting it ready for boost.
