Is it normal for the temp to drop? like when i warm up the car to normal operating temp and i drive continously like in the freeway? isnt it suppose to stay in the middle?

yes, your temp should go up to normal operating temperature and stay there while you are driving.
a drop in temp like that is usually an indication of a bad thermostat. -------------------- |
