i just bought the celica a gift. Just like the title says - its the Cusco PILLOW BALL UPPER MOUNT SET/ FRONT/ CAMBER ADJUSTABLE -- from www.japanparts.com
total came out to be $249.33. - i think it'll be 2-3 wks before i receive it since its coming from Japan. Can't wait - this should do wonders to the Tein setup that I already have - didn't order the rear ones since i'm on a budget this month- One step closer to making this car a better ride. I definitely will have pictures when I install it. ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() This post has been edited by celicarus: Apr 8, 2006 - 9:47 AM |

tein coilovers DSL36-KUSS2 (w/o upper mounts) applicable on:
ST202 (JDM SS-I) ST203 (JDM SS-I) ST202 (JDM Convertible) ST203 (JDM Convertible) AT200 (European ST) - my one AT200 > (US/CND ST) ST204 (US/CND GT) ST204c (US Convertible) <- it's actually ST204c ![]() So help me understand, what is the difference between the ST204c which makes the GST86-B1SS4 kit non compatible with the ST204c (US convertibles) on the list? The DSL36-KUSS2 set I have on my Celica currently was listed for an AT200 model, which would mean that if the GST86-B1SS4 kit fits your AT200, then theoretically, the GST86-B1SS4 kit would fit on the ST204c models then as well I believe. -------------------- |

QUOTE(MaskedMan @ Apr 5, 2008 - 5:20 AM) ... So help me understand, what is the difference between the ST204c which makes the GST86-B1SS4 kit non compatible with the ST204c (US convertibles) on the list? The DSL36-KUSS2 set I have on my Celica currently was listed for an AT200 model, which would mean that if the GST86-B1SS4 kit fits your AT200, then theoretically, the GST86-B1SS4 kit would fit on the ST204c models then as well I believe. according EPC there are two groups of mcperson suspension. Common (or let's say ''basic'') and ''sport package'' one. I do not why they have different part numbers... I have checked what model has what suspension and created list above. That means my AT200 has the same part number for shocks as ST204c. And according to TEIN parts list should be used DSL36-KUSS2 (kit w/o upper mounts). All US ''sport package'' models has the same part number for shocks as JDM 3SGE models... for JDM 3SGE models TEIN recommends using GST86-B1SS4 (kit with upper mounts)... So I have asked some people about celica stock suspension. Everyone I have asked said: "all mcperson shocks for 6gen celis are compatible... you can use both on your car". That's why I have ordered GST86-B1SS4 not DSL36-KUSS2 kit for me to prove it... I'll post everything when I have them home in special topic. End of story for now ![]() -------------------- No more replicas... This is evolution... This is SS-four :)
