Well, i know red coolant is the prefered one. how do we mix it though?
I can of salt, 2 lumps of garlic? I have no clue. Its supposed to be a 60/40 mix. Thats what they told me. Is this true. Anyways, also about the KOYO oem radiator, it has two little lines on the bottom that i assume are for the automatic, not for the manual, so, they are plugged with two little rubber caps. Would that hold the pressure, should i use something else? HELP! This post has been edited by njccmd2002: May 24, 2008 - 1:50 PM -------------------- Learned a lot in 10 years... The Super Long Life Coolant is prediluted to 50/50 if I'm not mistaken. The regular Toyota Long Life coolant isn't but I think 50/50 is still the standard. 60/40 is just fine though, a little unnecessary while going into the warmer seasons but still just fine.
yes, those caps on the radiator are for the auto trans cooler and the caps on them will be just fine. There is no pressure on those caps, its a separate tank on the bottom that connects to the auto trans which runs ATF through the separate tank using the bottom of the radiator as a heat exchanger essentially.
