can someone tell if a manual shifter trim will fit an auto. shifter.my car is a 97 st

There are clip kinda things on the bottom of a manual shifter surround that hold the boot up, the auto shifter surround does not have them.
If you have a manual and get an auto shifter your shift boot won't stay up. If you have an auto and you want to use a manual shifter surround you'll have to cut the clips off or it probably won't sit right. -------------------- |

If you have an auto and you want to use a manual shifter surround you'll have to cut the clips off or it probably won't sit right. I have pics of the bottom of the manual shifter boot - if someone had the auto one we could compare? Edit: Here is a pic [Courtesy of Lubu] of the auto trim. It has that spongy material but other than that it appears if you trimmed back the clips that hold the shift bag on the manual trim it will fit perfectly. I can easily do that for you trex6gc
