I read in magazines and hear people constintly talking about reflashing ECUs. Wut is it and wut are the advantages of it? Also when should this process take place in the tuning stage? (i.e. intake exhaust, ground kit, reflash)?

(i.e. intake exhaust, ground kit, reflash)? Cars get reflash to change the fuel delivery and timing maps...etc..its like tuning the sofware. Basicly if you have something like a full exhaust and intake you can get your ECU reflash to take advantage of the extra flow and get more horses, (usually 5-10 HP with small mods). You can't reflash toyota's though. -------------------- ![]() -Rémy 02 SiR, 08 250R |
