Ok, here's the thing. I pick up an OEM rear sturt bar today. I know how to install it everything but wut I don't get is wuts the purpose of it? I mean I hear everybody talkin about them, but I mean wut to they do and is there noticably big difference in having one as appossed to a car that doesn't?

What a strut bar does is stiffen up the car's frame to keep it from flexing.
It has alot to do with suspension geometry and very boring stuff. But to to break it down to basic terms, if you have upgraded suspension it helps makes your car handle better. I have one in my car and its..... well there.... There is nothing else I can really say about it. I can't prove to anyone if it helps with handling or even if it helped at all because it such a minor modification. What it does do is transmit the road noise into the cabin more. Hope that helps. |
