The time has come.... WRC 3sgte swap!!!, Update 10/05 pg2 Options

Well this is the second greatest mod i have done to my car...

i wanted to do this swap last year but problems came and i had just not enough money to afford a 3sgte.
but thanks to Jim i got a WRC 3sgte...
by the way thanks a lot jim for everything!
the engine arrived a month ago, but i havent had much time to work on it, and since i dont have an engine stand
it is harder to work on it..

i might only update the thread once or twice a week, but slowly i will get there.

To start, i will do the swap myself with help of some friends, i will not let a mechanic do the job since i dont think it is
really hard to do a swap. It will be frustrating at some points but not impossible. Also i want to know what will be under the hood
and learn from mistakes.
I am not an expert, in fact i do not have much mechanical experience but i know i can do it. so forgive me because i might ask
stupid things now and then but i am here to learn. and with the help of this community i know we can pull it off.

So please guys help me with advices or questions i might have.

Just as a reference, about how much space does the engine and all of it's components take up? 4x4 ft? You just have a hoist and not a stand right?

in space yeah pretty much that space. i dont have a hoist, my friend will borrow me his hoist, for the engine stand i will be getting one either sat or sun,
its actually 5x4 because of the tranny....

what im worried about is the stock hanger is set up for the sock to sit in this position. with a 341 it will be all wrong. you would have to cut off the base of the hanger and then put a clamp around it to hold it. why dont you just sell that 341 and buy the right pump?

could you point out where exactly i will have to cut off?
thinking about it, i might sell the pump and get the correct one

Don't cut anything. It will fit in at an angle just need a zip tie or two to hold it in place. This is how mine has been for years.

Of course... I had this pump for 3SGTE project. That means it is right pump for 6gen celi and it will work (everyone around I know using this pump) .
