 Short shifter |

looking to have a short shifter, but ill be dagnabit to spend a hundred bucks for one....I think thats ridiculous for 2 rods and a few nuts. cant I just cut the shifter? is there anything wrong with taking a dremel to it and re-attaching the knob?

Can't I just cut the stick down a few inches and put the knob back on? I guess i dont understand how the short shifter affects the linkage or something -------------------- same skidpad grip as a 2006 M3....stock. 'nuff said

I have an aftermarket knob that has 3 screws to hold it to the post. threads make no difference whatsoever to me. As long as that is the case, I dont have anything else to worry about right?
